This is a very small hotel, just four rooms, that's it. Its located very close to the Rialto bridge; we had a little hard time initially locating the hotel in the crowd and small alleys. Once we found it, we realized its basically just footsteps from Rialto. There is not always a person at the hotel, so you have to avoid arriving too late at night. You basically get a key for your room as well as the building, and you can come and go as you please.

The room itself was simple and adequate. The breakfast was pretty simple, just croissants and muffins from a nearby bakery. Of all the places we visited, Venice's hotels were the most expensive and Ca Leon was a very good value for the money given that we spent most of our time outside the hotel anyway. We crossed the Rialto several times a day; Venice is a fantastic place to walk and get lost and that's what we spent most of our time doing. Also the vaporetti stop is right next to Rialto, so it was very convenient to get around the city.

If your looking for a clean room for a good price this is it. It is not fancy and could certainly use some updating but we only paid 75 Euro for a night and that is a great price in Venice. The walls are thin and it smells kind of funny but it is clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is only a 3 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge and about a 10 minute walk to St. Marks. If you have higher standards you may not like this hotel but if you want an inexpensive place to lay your head at night then this hotel is a good choice.

Price - expensive for what you get, but not expensive when compared to other hotels in Venice.
Staff - very friendly, polite and helpful. We had an early-ish start on our last day and they made some breakfast available so we could eat before we departed.
Location - didn't have a very nice view from our hotel room, but we didn't really need one. Hotel is well situated, just 50 yards from the Rialto bridge, and very easy to find.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and spent an age trying to find it in the rain.

Thankfully it was worth the wait!

The food was fresh and tasty and the wine was excellent. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English.

The dessert (Panna cotta) was AMAZING.

Would highly recommend this hidden gem!
