Stayed here with my friend for the past 4 nights. Lovely and warm staff (Adriana) and her boss. The rooms are like florence, romantic immediately setting the mood that you are in florence.
Location: superb as in the middle of town & plaza signoria, ponte vechio bridge and uffize .. all walking distance. Nearby (round the corner less than 1min walk) there is a cosy and nice restaurant iche ce ce, that serve really good food at a very reasonable price.
Room: Well equipped with all the necessity and beautifully decorated.. it felt a bit like a hotel instead!
Bathroom: although shared, it is well maintain. clean and spotless, it is big and the shower is superb. Each floor bathroom is shared by not more than 6 people only.
The price is rather reasonable. Only wish the hotel serve at least coffee/tea with a light breakfast in the morning!

Room Tip: Do not take the front room as it is rather noisy. But rest assure, the owner will ask you if you are...

Very cute place to stay in the centre of Venice. Great location between the train station and Mark's Square. Lady that works there is also polite and helpful.
The room that we had is obviously quite old, but clean and with charm.. Looks very vintage. The sheets, floors and sharing bathroom were also very clean.
For a very good price on a weekday during the Carnival in February, breakfast and Internet were included.
Venice has introduced a tourist tax so depending on the length of the stay you will pay a bit extra to the room charge.
In the booking confirmation e-mail from hotel Alex the amount was 0,50E per person per day, but eventually we paid 1,00E with the explanation it is the charge in high season. Just a detail to be aware of. Everything else was great. There is even a supermarket right in front where you can get a snack for the center sightseeing (there are not many of them around Mark's square).

We paid a premium price for this room as it was over new years, but normally for a 1 star hotel this place is quite adequate. You need to keep in mind this place is 1 star! The room was big, clean but NOISY. The locks on the doors are so loud it will wake anyone up on the same floor coming in and out of your room. The shared facilities were ok. The shower was very small and needed a good clean.
The breakfast was adequate and the lady that worked at reception was lovely and very helpful. There was another man there but we didn't have anything to do with him.
Good location, about 10 minute walk to Rialto bridge and a supermarket right across from hotel. There is also free wifi but they turn it off sometimes.
Keeping in mind that this is a 1 star hotel I would stay here again..... depending on price. But they MUST do something about he locks on the doors.

This is a one star hotel and is definately worthy of its rating. We were not expecting a lot but its the added negatives that made our stay unpleasant.

While it is clean, the rooms are large and the position of the hotel is central, there are a number of things which we weren't aware of with the hotel prior to staying there. The price is low for Venice but still considerably more than other european city's for what you get. Beware of the reasonably good review on Lonely Planet!! (that was what made us book this Hotel).

Our first floor room was extremely noisy - noise in the street until 3am and then from 7am again, impossible to sleep. Paper thin inside walls. The ceramic floor tiles in our room weren't even glued down and moved about as you walked on them. Very dodgy bedside lamps which looked like they were an electrical fault waiting to happen and which caused a severe burn to my wifes arm. Mosquito ridden room with squashed mosquito's all over the walls and did not seem to ever be cleaned off. You can't open the bedroom windows for the mossie problem and you can't open the bedroom door to let fresh air in as the foyer has an extremely strong smell of cigarette smoke (despite being a non smoking hotel!!!).

The furniture in the room is quite old but ok except for the beds. My children slept on single fold out beds which had mattresses which were banana shaped and not very good for sleeping on.

I stress again that it is clean and large rooms plus the grandma on the front desk is particulalry helpful, although her son? Mario not so much. You are promised free wifi but for the life of us couldn't get it to work anywhere in the hotel despite the owners insisting they gave us the password.

Overall, particulalry disappointed that reviews in Lonely Planet don't mention the noise and bedroom/issues. It is well located, but I'd stay somewhere else next time.

Room Tip: No Wifi (although promised), beware of good Lonely Planet review!!

This was such a cute place to stay! We got a great value on a double room with shared bath. The shower and bathroom were clean but shower was extremely small. Host was very helpful suggesting various things. Location isn't ideal but worked for us. Breakfast is offered for extra which we didn't do but would suggest doing it looked good! Would stay here again.
