Good location as it's few minutes away from the train station.
It's hidden in a quiet street, away from main street; which good for a good night sleep.
Room is clean but the squeaky wooden floor is quite annoying.
The thin blanket is not sufficient to keep you warm at night.
Friendly english speaking staffs.

Wonderful experience! Clean rooms and bathrooms. Good breakfast (please do not expect an American breakfast. In Europe breakfast is cold carbs). Great location (close to the train station and a pleasant and direct walk to St. Marks.) And the people are very friendly. Would recommend to friends and family members not looking to spend very much in this expensive city.

The Caprera is a very nice hotel, not a luxury one but a good relation cost-benefit. The hotel is pretty simple and basic so don't expect much but the hotel rooms are clean and neat, also spacious. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast is plain basic but just what you can expect for 5 euros. The hotel is really close to the train station and it has several restaurants, bars and even grocery stores nearby.

If you're looking to spend little on your stay in Venice and have a comfortable place to sleep this is the hotel for you.

We had a short holiday with overnight at hotel Caprera which is a five minutes' walk from the railwaystation and in a quiet Calle so we could rest very quietly after strolling around the four days long. Staff and management is very polite and absolutely available to suggest touristic solutions. Buffet breakfast is various and rich. Bedrooms and dining room are not very large but extremely clean and simply practical.
Cost/quality ratio absolutely favourabl.
A very nice experience we would like to repeat.

Room Tip: No lift so the first floor is the best option.

My hotel room was VERY simple/basic, but the hotel has a fantastic location (walking distance from the train station) for someone staying only one night. The owner nicely pointed me towards a bar for a beer. Overall, well spent money for one night in Venice.
