“Perfect for honeymoon couples.”

Way more than what we expected. Venice is such a charming city. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast was amazing (especially the croissants and cappuccino)! The room was big and with a nice view of the square. You can hear the campanile from the balcony. It was perfect.

We were treated like royalty. Everyone on staff at the Palazzo was very attentive, and always made us feel like our comfort was their first priority. Our room was breathtaking, with beamed ceiling, Murano chandelier, huge windows overlooking the campo, and beautiful marble bath. Chargers and adapters were provided for our phones and electronics, along with HD-TV, Internet and Wi-Fi. Breakfast was very generous and included a variety of fresh pastries, fruits, meats and cheeses, cereals, juices and hot beverages (including cappuccino!). When my wife's illness forced us to change our itinerary, the night-desk clerk help us book next-morning flights and made sure we would reach the airport on time. Special thanks to the Palazzo's manager (M), for making us feel so welcomed.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the campo are worth the upgrade.

We were delighted with this small elegant hotel located in a lovely square just a couple of minutes walk from the chaos that is St Marco Square. and just 50 metres from a canal. We were lucky to get one of the rooms overlooking the square and loved hanging out the window and listening to tour guides point out 'our ' beautiful 15th century palace and watching local children playing soccer and riding bikes. Our room, described as a junior suite, was absolutely enormous with two very comfortable king sized beds and there was no problem accommodating an extra rollaway so my children didn't have to share. The bathroom was also excellent and every member of the family enjoyed soaking in the spa bath at the end of a long tourist day. The only disappointment was the hotel breakfast The breakfast room was located directly outside the bedrooms - which felt odd and the table reserved for us always seemed to be occupied. The food was poor and included prepacked pastries and tinned fruit salad. We ended up buying our fresh fruit from the market stall outside the hotel entrance to brighten up our bowls of cereal. Plates, bowls etc were hard to come by as well and the one wait staff and a very difficult time trying to be all things to all people. All in all though we had a wonderful stay and hope to be back soon!

We had a hard time finding this place, but once we did we were overjoyed with our huge room with bath. We had a couch and two twin beds in the room, with airconditioning and a huge two person shower. There is a light breakfast in the morning, which is typical of these hotels. Venice is difficult to find your way around in if you haven't been here before, so be aware that this hotel is back off the water and through several alleyways, and over two bridges. We loved staying here, since once we got our bearings, we could walk for hours without encountering any large tour groups.

Great hotel and gracious staff. Located at Campo Santa Maria Formosa, it has plenty of good restaurants close by and quick access to gondoliers.

Everything was in working order and very clean. Complimentary breakfast was good and plentiful.

Luggage lift for your heavy baggage.

Map out your own directions to the hotel. The instruction on their conformation email is quite a bit off.

Room Tip: Choose one of the two rooms on the front of the hotel to have private balconies overlooking the squa...

This lovely old palazzo was my destination for an overnight and a day at the end of a 12 day cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam from Barcelona to Venice. It was quiet, elegant in a simple way, with a most welcoming General Manager, Michael Costantini. He went out of his way to make me at home, for example, I needed an adaptor to plug in my lap top and he had none in the hotel but brought one to me the next morning from his own home. One problem: he forgot to give me my passport when I left the hotel by water taxi for the airport. At the airport I realized the problem, a porter there called the hotel and Michael manage to pay for the water taxi to rush the passport to me at the airport just before I was to board the plane for the United States. I am most grateful for that generosity and for his kindness throughout.

We stayed as a family of four in a single room which was spacious enough.

Bathroom was fine and reasonably modern, but shower temperature kept varying.

Breakfast has small selection, but ok.

Service overall pretty decent.

Location is great, mid way between San Marco and the Rialto and plenty of good places to eat close by.

There are two public balconies overlooking the square and if you're quick you can bag these on a night with a bottle of wine and watch the world go by in the square below.

Overall, we'd stay there again.
