Great hotel and gracious staff. Located at Campo Santa Maria Formosa, it has plenty of good restaurants close by and quick access to gondoliers.

Everything was in working order and very clean. Complimentary breakfast was good and plentiful.

Luggage lift for your heavy baggage.

Map out your own directions to the hotel. The instruction on their conformation email is quite a bit off.

Room Tip: Choose one of the two rooms on the front of the hotel to have private balconies overlooking the squa...

This lovely old palazzo was my destination for an overnight and a day at the end of a 12 day cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam from Barcelona to Venice. It was quiet, elegant in a simple way, with a most welcoming General Manager, Michael Costantini. He went out of his way to make me at home, for example, I needed an adaptor to plug in my lap top and he had none in the hotel but brought one to me the next morning from his own home. One problem: he forgot to give me my passport when I left the hotel by water taxi for the airport. At the airport I realized the problem, a porter there called the hotel and Michael manage to pay for the water taxi to rush the passport to me at the airport just before I was to board the plane for the United States. I am most grateful for that generosity and for his kindness throughout.

We stayed as a family of four in a single room which was spacious enough.

Bathroom was fine and reasonably modern, but shower temperature kept varying.

Breakfast has small selection, but ok.

Service overall pretty decent.

Location is great, mid way between San Marco and the Rialto and plenty of good places to eat close by.

There are two public balconies overlooking the square and if you're quick you can bag these on a night with a bottle of wine and watch the world go by in the square below.

Overall, we'd stay there again.

The location, the building, the room, the staff and the feeling of every moment of our three nights stay at the Palazzo Vitturi were unforgettable. If we ever travel again to Venice, it will be our first choice for sure! Thanks!

Room Tip: great view to the Santa Maria Forsmosa square

We stayed at this fine hotel with our 2 older children. The room was amazing. Very large and comfortable beds.
The bathroom was located on the upper level and it was very spacious as well.
The hotel is in a central location -- only few minutes from the Rialto Bridge and Mark's Square. Staff was very friendly especially the Manager. Michele was very kind and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 4 (two teens) stayed for 2 nights (August 1 & 2). We had 1 large room with a queen bed and 2 single beds (looks like the one in the hotel pics). It did take a while to find the place but it's really not that hard (it's in a square not on a street/alley). The room was large enough and while the walls to the bathroom (up a set of stairs) were dirty, the room/bathroom itself was clean and the air con worked well. The beds were not the most comfortable but we were exhausted. The front desk staff were extremely pleasant & helpful. The breakfast had a decent selection and was very fresh the staff will make your coffee to order. (remember this isn't a 5 star). Both the 2nd and 3rd floors have small balconys with tables and chairs that look over the square (just open the "window" and go out. You can reserve a table for your breakfast. or just go anytime on your own for a lovely relaxing view. If you get a good price for this hotel - it's worth it - everything in Venice is expensive so this place was a pretty good deal in comparison. I peaked into another room which had a bedroom and sofa bed - this looked nice too.
We took the over priced water bus (not taxi) from the airport. But if you are budget minded - you can walk to the train station which we did at the end of our stay to get to the train (15 minutes).

Great quiet location yet a short walk to the main tourist areas. The room (number 25) was a great size with the biggest king size bed and lovely high ceilings. My daughter loved 'going upstairs' to the bathroom. The staff were all lovely and very helpful with directions, organising an early morning water taxi and helping get our very heavy bags down the stairs. We were even offered an early morning coffee before we left at 6.30am. Our only regret was that we only had one night there.
