Absolutely lovely B&B!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Aug 29, 2017
Loved our stay at Ca'Dogaressa! B&B is situated just far enough from the main attractions yet within walking distance. Very close to waterbus and I mean super close! Awesome view. Terrace available depending on weather. Staff absolutely wonderful--Paolo, Danielle, Andy, Viviana and the housekeeping staff. Room was very clean, comfortable, air conditioned. I hope to have another opportunity to stay here.

We stayed there in Feb 18-21, 2018 and highly recommend this small, cosy, very authentic family hotel in a genuine venecian style of 18th century
very comfortably situated in 5 min walk from Santa Lucia and 20 min walk to San marco, but stll off the tourist route where you can feel real Venice and mingle with local population in one of cicchetterias of Cannaregio without bumping into crowds of tourists
and very-very friendly and always ready to help staff
will definitely stay there again

We chose this hotel because of its location on the Cannaregio Canal and for its easy access on foot from Stazione Santa Lucia as well as great TA reviews. We were not disappointed. Our room, as requested, was upstairs at the back which was very quiet with sound proofed windows, although no view to speak of. It was furnished in old style traditional Venetian gold furnishings but the bathroom was modern. The bed and pillows were firmer than we were used to but OK and we were very glad of efficient air conditioning as it was hot in June. Breakfast outside was limited but adequate and served beside the canal which was a highlight. The rooftop terrace was a great spot to sit in the evenings and Paolo gave us a free bottle of Prosecco. We enjoyed our stay in this quieter part of Venice, away from the madding crowds, and would happily recommend this quaint, unpretentious, friendly hotel.

We stayed for 8 days in July. We had the suite by the canal. what a room, definitely worth the extra it costs. So beautiful, spacious, clean and the bathroom was really luxurious! We had a view of the canal, just perfect!
The hotel owner and staff were so friendly and accommodating! Breakfast was served by the water, what else would you want!
The hotel is by the Cannaregio canal, away from the busy street but still close to everything. about 10 min from station,15 min from piazzale Roma and 25 min from San Marco square. There is also a Vaporetto stop just by the hotel, which we used to go to Murano and Lido. They are also a lot of restaurants around the area.
I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Venice and I would definitely want to use that hotel again if I come back.

Stayed there for one night, location is great, about 10 minutes walking from piazza roma(trains and buses arrives there), and 20 minutes walking to piazza san marco, room is a bit small and furniture are vintage feels a little old at first but yet very warm and welcoming, feels that your in Venice and that's the charm of the room it's beautiful, the bathroom was modern clean and very nice, hotels in Venice are very expensive but this hotel is not so much and is a great value for your money , the hotel is on one of the canals and underneath it has cafes and restaurants, Breakfast is served by the canal. I would definitely recommend this hotel

This is such a lovely little hotel. We initially chose to stay here because it was close to the train station and they also offer breakfast on the canal. When we arrived we were pleased to find out we had been given a free upgrade to a canal view room! It was incredible! The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very kind and accommodating. We loved that the street was quiet but was still close to many restaurants, shops, and vaporetto stops. We had a lovely time and would stay here again!
