“Quieter Venice hideway”

We found Ca Posso very easily down the alleyway and were pleasantly surprised to find less crowds in this area of Cannaregio. The canal was intriguing to watch all the action from a lovely little friendly restaurant just near the alleyway. We could hop on the vaporetto not far from our modern inn. Breakfast was filling with lots of variety however some of the staff members were a bit serious. Others were very helpful. We had the use of internet here which was great. It was nice to take a walk up on the terrace to catch the sun and watch locals hang out some washing and hear some local chatter. Markets, eateries and groceries were all handy. All in all a very pleasant modern place to stay. Very happy with our room and other amenities. We enjoyed all the artwork placed in Ca Posso. This inn was a major highlight of our European adventure.

This Inn deserves all the praise it can get. I stayed there with my partner from 6th to 9th October. The idea was that we were going to meet with two friends who travelled in from Canada the same day.

Initially, the Inn was difficult to find as it is situated at the end of a long alley. As we walked down this alley, I began to dread what was at the end. Then, it was as if hotel heaven opened up and I was as we say in the UK "Gob smacked)! It means speechless. What we found was a very modern, trendy and well set up Inn. I was initially totally amazed. It took us four hours to drive to Venice and were pleases that we only had to walk ten minutes from the car park to the Inn.

It is well situated, and even though in the middle of a busy area, it is strangely quiet which was a bonus. There are hoards of fantastic restaurants close by, and all very reasonably priced.

The Inn only serves breakfast which is adequate.

The room we stayed in 204a, was a good size, comfortable, clean and modern.

Free wifi and a small flat screen tv in the room are a bonus. For English travellers, you can get BBC World service to keep up with things back home.

The receptionist (Stefano), was very friendly and helpful and a credit to the Inn.

Im looking forward to returning to the Inn in the very near future.

Well done Ca Pozzo, you won me over for a second visit.

We got lost initially trying to find the place, but after becoming familiar with the place, we loved how cosy it was. Walking through the mini "tunnel" back to the inn became part of our daily excitement.
It is actually not very far from the canal.

Besides modernly cosy, there is no better way to describe this place. We were very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the place. Word of advise, the pictures you see here does not do justice to the place! It is really really really much nicer when you are there.

There is Wifi in the common areas and the breakfast is good enough to start your day feeling satisfied. You get to leave your chunky key with the friendly and perfectly english-speaking receptionist so you don't have to worry about it when you travel.

I had a relaxing stay in Venice, all thanks to this clean and modern hotel. Breakfast was great, too! The location's perfect because you get to walk around Cannaregio to the Rialto. I didn't take the water taxis. It's a great long walk.
The only thing is that since it's quite tucked away from the main street, a more detailed instructions could be posted online.

As other reviews have said this hotel is not far from the train station and is down a funny little alley, although it didn't smell while we were there. We were efficiently checked in and shown to our room. We stayed in a room on the ground floor in the section behind reception. On the website it shows a room with an orange painting above the bed, this was our room, which the website portrays accurately. Breakfast was good every day and filling.

The area around the hotel was nice and we ate at two of the nearby Jewish restaurants and watched the European Cup final in the Irish bar. It's not too far to walk along on the main route to St. Mark's. (Along the way is the most wonderful patisserie - Bar Pasticceria Ballarin) We walked everywhere in Venice with no problems even though the heat was oppressive, as there's no breeze away from the lagoon.

Room Tip: The photos on the website of the room with the orange artwork above the bed are identical to real li...

We loved our stay at this hotel. It's tucked away from the main street so it was the perfect quiet retreat after our daytime adventures.

Pros:
- Interiors: beautiful, modern, and well kept
- Service: very helpful front desk - great for making reservations, printing documents, and providing travel tips
- Convenience: close to vaporetto and the agua laguna from the airport which made arrival very easy
- Room: beautifully furnished, very chic interiors, spacious and clean
- Breakfast: wide selection at buffet and overall delicious!

Cons: the alleyway leading from the street to the hotel sometimes smelled bad from sewage/waste/the nearby fish market, service at breakfast was spotty, and showers were small

Positives: Newly renovated, good location (very close to the train station but not to St. Mark's square), breakfast was filling and provided a good variety of food, customer service was helpful and handled problems properly. All staff speak English and restaraunt recommendations were right on.

Negatives: Water pressure in shower is weak if you happen to be having a shower when other people are. Mostly though, we have stayed at countless b&bs throughout Italy and Europe and have never been charged for coffee at the hotel mid-day. Upon check in we ordered some capuccino and once we had finished they told us they would be added to our final bill. As with most places in Venice the rooms were very expensive and for what we paid you would expect to get at least a coffee.

Generally, if this is your only option you will have a fine stay, however if we were to return to Venice we would try to find another place.

Room Tip: All rooms are renovated and clean.
