If you have loved someone in your life take the gondola ride.
May be with or without her/him.
you can feel that your heart has the power to love.
you can feel that your heart is capable to love.
The ride is just awesome. Specially the small crispy canals. the houses that will look on to you as you ride pass them. It will cost you around 80-90 euros for 40mins. u can book a special gondola and carry your wine and stay for more time. But do experience this love ride. you will remember it forever.

Opted for the €200 'special' at 10pm.The price didn't other us as we were more concerned with the route and seeing the city at night. Our Gondelier was friendly and asked which route we would like to take. We opted to go by San Marco and up the Grand Canal, then Rialto and finishing off at Bridge of Sighs. Overall it took nearly over 1.5 hrs.

Our gondelier's english wasn't that great and you can tell the English he knew were just memorized answers. However this didn't bother us. The trip was amazing. Venice at night is surely breath taking.

I seen a lot of reviews complaining about the service and smell. I cant say the service is perfect every time , whether this is a hit or miss, it was a hit for us. For the smell, this is Venice, an ancient island surrounded by water with a high concentration of tourists, locals, boats etc. The heat is going to make things smell a bit. Just forget about it and take in Venice with your eyes..

Definitely the most romantic thing to do in Venice

We heard a whole lot of negative feedback from friends and family that have traveled to Venice & taken a gondola ride. Overpriced, angry "tour guides", smelly, etc. They were ALL WRONG!! It was awesome. We negotiated a price of 80€ for 45 min...there were 4 of us so basically 20€ a person. Our "driver" was a delight. He sang (quite well) and showed us everything with enthusiasm and passion for his city. You just can not get the same views by walking. I would suggest to anyone who has dreamed of marking this off their bucket list to Just Do It!! You will love the experience & the memories.

The best way to see Venice is from a gondola... Yes, it is pricey and touristy, but it is also a true pleasure. The gondolier knew a lot about the city and informed us well, and of course, let us enjoy the beautiful views.

What can I say. The price of a gondola ride isn't cheap. €80 gets you 40 minutes, but how can you come to Venice and not take this iconic ride?
We chose no 'serenade' as we had heard these from our hotel room that overlooked the canals; so didn't feel the need.
Our gondolier -Bruno- was excellent, taking an interesting route from St Marks Square and pointing out the sights on the way. These included the Bridge of Sighs and Santa Maria church. He also was able to answer a few questions for us about the history and engineering of the city.
I suspect that we wouldn't do this again, but cheesy as it seems, it was worth doing for the experience and to 'tick the box'
