Venice is a very expensive city with lots of places that are over-priced. We found this newish place while wandering not too far from the Rialto bridge. The ladies behind the counter are all cheerful and the customers are mainly Italian. The food is cooked on site and is very fresh, with pasta and other dishes made before your eyes. Good-sized portions, and the largest 'bonsai' olive tree we have ever seen. Stand-up eating tables only, or take-away. One of our nicest finds in Venice. Everything is very clean. Note that it is Gourmet, not Gormet!
