“Its good but not excellent”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

This hotel is a 4 star rated hotel. We payed over 400 euros per night for a junior suite overlooking the canal. We stayed 3 nights.
Yes, our room was very nice, large, beautifully decorated and impeccable. Yes, the hotel is in a perfect location. Yes, staff is more or less friendly.
But, there are some buts unfortunately. Like written before, no complementary water in the rooms, no coffee machine or kettle. If you want breakfast in your room, you can have only coffee, tea, bread and pastries. Everything else has to be paid extra. A simple yoghurt, eggs, cheese, ham etc etc will be charged. Even if you can find all these things at the buffet.
Talking about the breakfast buffet. As written before, nothing special. Only the basics. To begin with no freshly squeezed orange juice. Only industrial fruit juices!!! Nothing organic, no goat cheeses, no soy milk etc.
We had a problem with the heating system in our room. It was set on 23,6°, impossible to turn down or off. "No, at this time of the year it's impossible to use the airconditioning" was the answer we got at the reception desk. After 2 nights of suffocating we really insisted to have something done. And finally we were able to sleep in a room at still 20°. But we slept much better.
All in all, we had a nice stay but we weren't overwhelmed.

I stayed 1 night with them. The rooms are excellent. Clean tidy neat. Location is very good, 3 minute walk from pier. Room over looking canal. Staff friendly and helpful. Yet, room amenities lucking. No complimentary daily water provided, no kettle provided. Asked at the reception for a kettle to boil some hot water to drink, told to go to hotel bar to ask for hot water. The complimentary tour to glass island as included in the room rate is only for the tour of the glass factory. The ship you there to the factory and back. Will not allow extra time for you to stay on Island. For the prices I've paid, I find it it's a bit expensive.

I stayed here with my daughter for 3 nights, the room was spacious and opulently decorated. The staff were friendly but professional. It is an ideal location in between St Mark's Square and the Rialto bridge. We had an amazing meal here with superb service on our last night, not expensive by Venetian standards but much higher quality than the local restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend it and would definitely return if we came back to Venice

A fabulous medium sized hotel in the hustle and bustle of Venice where you can relax and unwind. We had a junior suite which had a separate sitting room. The room was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the canal. With the window open you can hear the voices of the various boatmen as they go about their daily business but close the window and silence ensued. The room was spotless with a great walk in shower delivering good pressure and temperature. We also tried the room service and the restaurant, both of which were excellent. My only issue was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities which were absent although there was a minibar. Overall excellent and we would be more than happy to recommend it to our friends.

Hotel Ai Reali is a stunning hotel - excellent location being only 5 mins from the Riali Bridge - but far enough away to be quiet, away from the husle & bustle of tourists around the bridge. We travelled to Venice 0n 27th March to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary & we weren't disappointed on any level - from getting the water taxi from the airport to the Island, arriving at out beautiful hotel & spending a week there in comfort. Our room was large & typically Venitician - very opulant. The only thing I missed was being able to make a cup of tea in the room (no teas made) - but easily able to get a tray of tea. Breakfasts were lovely & adequate. We had a meal in the hotel on our anniversary - was delicious but expensive & we had equally good meals out over the week - being less expensive.
We used the spa - was glorious - a real treat to relax for several hours after busy days sight seeing.
The staff were efficient & helpful when asked for advice. Not overly friendly but proffessional.
Would definately recommend this hotel - it has the 'wow' factor.

Room Tip: We had room 202 - this has a balcony - a lovely feature & very Venician decor.

This hotel is ideally situated between San Marco and Rialto.
The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms are spacious and very good condition. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where you can enjoy great (sea)food and excellent wines. The value for money is fine. The breakfast is of great quality and variation. Don't expect a 10m buffet, but everything is excellent. The staff delivers great advise. Every place/restaurant we visited was up to expectations.
Great place to stay in Venice !
