“Wow - beautiful hotel, fabulous staff and wonderful location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2013

What can I say, if there was a higher rating, this hotel would have easily earned it - simply perfect. Our accommodation was very large and palatial not to mention spotless and exceptionally well appointed with the most beautiful furnishings and exquisite marble bathroom. Hotel Ai Reali is positioned perfectly within minutes of both San Marco and the Rialto Bridge yet so quiet inside allowing us to have the best sleep we'd had on the trip. Notwithstanding how beautiful the hotel is itself, and its fabulous location, the staff were certainly outstanding - so very welcoming and accommodating. Everyone greeted you when passing and all spoke wonderful english (for those who aren't so fluent in Italian like us) and seemed to speak other languages quite well also. Nothing was too much. Each morning at breakfast the staff remembered our coffee orders, the staff in the bar-lounge were engaging and warm, the front desk staff took care of us when we'd made a mistake with our dates and even assisted us to mail a parcel home when our language skills let us down at the post office! Breakfast was lovely and there is a Day Spa which looked beautiful, but unfortunately we didn't have time to partake. Quite a shame we had to leave! We will make this our hotel of choice when visiting Venice and will be recommending to friends and family also.

I love this quaint hotel. The staff is very friendly and they speak several languages including English. The hotel is small which is nice and so easy to get to from the airport. We hired a private water taxi from the airport water taxi dock (5 minute easy walk from the airport terminal) that dropped us off right at the hotel reception. The bellman helped us with our luggage off the boat and as soon as we checked in and got settled, we took the hotel's private water taxi to Murano Island.

The room was very nicely appointed with a beautiful chandelier, comfortable bed, electronic window shades, slippers and a robe. The tv had so many stations from all around the world it was fun to watch. The TV also had my name on the screen welcoming us as soon as you turned it on. The bathroom was fantastic. Great towels, a nice rain shower head and a hand held shower as well. All marble and very comfortable and included a bidet. The shower was walk in accessible for anyone.

The buffet breakfast was excellent. Very good assortment of hot foods and pastries with fresh fruit. They also served great coffee and Hot chocolate. Very tasty.

I'm definitely coming back to this hotel. It is within walking distance of every attraction, including fine restaurants and fine stores in Venice.

When we were ready to leave the hotel and begin our cruise, we asked the front desk to hire a private water taxi to get us to the port which worked out great. The water taxi picked us up right at the hotel lobby (canal front) and dropped us off right at the cruise ship pier where Celebrity took our luggage from our water taxi right at the dock. No hassles very carefree! What a wonderful way to begin our cruise.

Thanks to all the wonderful staff at Ai Reali Hotel, the only place to stay in style and true comfort in Venice. We cannot wait to return!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony view of the canal

This is probably ONE OF THE BEST hotels in Venice!
Everything was simply perfect: the hotel is perfectly located, right in the middle of everything (attractions, ferry stop, great places for drinks, food and shopping), yet - very quiet!
Staff was super friendly and helpful, made us feel like we are VIPs. The room was amazing, clean, tidy and well equipped. The bathroom and shower were just superb with prestigious accessories. The breakfast was also rich and gave us fuel for the day :)

it's worth every penny and I'm sure we will be back. I wish that next time we'll stay longer because it was simply perfect. Thank you for the experience!

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with view to the patio, they are quiet and nice. We got first floor (room 111) and it...

For my mums 75th birthday, we stayed with whole family in this very nice and charming hotel.
Just after arrival, they brought us with their own boat to Murano, while our rooms were being prepared. Thank you Dennis for your kindness. Good restaurant were we had our party, very good beds and amazing bathroom.Very good location in between Rialto en san marco.

From the moment we arrived, barefoot.. having had to take our shoes and socks off and roll up our trousers to wade through the aqua alta...EVERYONE at the Ai Reali went out of their way to make us feel special. The first thing they did at Reception in fact was to bring us slippers and towels to dry our feet ! From that moment on, it just got better and better. Our room was HUGE (a rarity in Venice) and palatial, the marble floored en-suite having under-floor heating which was just perfect. The restaurant was also excellent, the food freshly prepared to order, and was no more expensive than any other restaurant in this astonishing city.
When we return...it will be to this absolutely stunning hotel, brilliantly located as it is, just minutes from the Rialto Bridge. And, next time, we'll splash out on a water taxi to take us directly to the entrance from Marco Polo airport. What a way to see Venice !

If you go to Venice a stay at Hotel Ai Reali is an absolute must! My husband and I stayed as part of our honeymoon (something I mentioned briefly in my reservation) and the wonderful staff and beautiful building and rooms made this the high point of our trip.

We were immediately upgraded to a luxury suite and were brought champagne and strawberries. The room was gorgeous and was on a small canal. Nice and quiet away from the Grand Canal, but still had the beauty of Venice.

The hotel is also a higher spot in Venice (important during the rainy season!). The breakfast was delicious and definitely worth the price for deliciousness and convenience. The restaurant was also top notch with an excellent staff. Make sure to eat here during the stay! Also, the bar had a wonderful piano player/singer that makes for a lovely evening after dinner.

Hotel was minutes from Saint Mark's, Rialto Bridge, and the Grand Canal. The location was fantastic because you get Venice without the noise and crowds of tourists.

Room Tip: The canal the hotel is on is small, but worth the money to be on the canal side of the hotel. You c...

Our room, the canal facing Junior suite, was magnificently appointed and furnished with only a couple of let downs.... 1) no in-room drinks facility and 2) apart from news, no English language TV.
Breakfast was OK, nothing extraordinary, just simple continental fayre.
The Spa was well appointed but basic, and the inexperience of its management and staff obvious and apparent.
Throughout the hotel, the architectural features, fixtures, fittings and decorations were truly stunning.
All of the management and staff were friendly and helpful.
Location, more or less directly between the Ponte Rialto and St Mark's Square is excellent.

Room Tip: A "canal view" here means leaning over your window cill to watch the gondolas go by..... i...
