We arrived and left from Venice, on our trip to Italy , and while our first Venetian hotel was pleasant - we arrived here on our way home and wished we'd been here throughout. Great central location, but stepped back enough form the Rialto to be quiet and restful. Elegant marble and antique wood paneling. Nice central courtyard. Excellent staff and great service - nothing was too much trouble. Excellent restaurant with good breakfasts and delicioous dinner. Nice spa on the top floor with a sun deck - we spend most of our last day up here, as it was so relaxing. Room was huge and well appointed. I would only stay here again, when I come back to Venice...

Room Tip: Junior suite was a big room, looking out onto Canal but good sound proofing of windows kept it quiet...

Myself and my wife stayed here as part of our honeymoon for 2 nights in Venice. On arrival there was complimentary bottle of champagne in our room. The decor of the hotel is really Beautiful. Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The deluxe room 106 we stayed to was very spacious and elegant with a lovely view. Breakfast was superb, great selection and beautiful fresh coffee. We had an excellent stay at this hotel. On the last night we had wine in the bar, the service was excellent in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Great public rooms - beautiful renovation of an old building but the actual hotel is not very good. While the rooms are fairly large, the bathroom is the size of a 747 bathroom - so tiny you bump into yourself. The room itself, while it had beautiful wood floors and ceiling, had essentially no furniture - no chair to sit in other than a very small, uncomfortable desk chair, no rugs, no bathrobes, and little lighting. Looks like the owners spent all their money on the building and ran out of funds before they could complete the project. The staff was either very friendly or very surly depending who was at the front desk and generally not very helpful but very aggressive in asking for a tip at check out. The fitness center which they advertise and promote on their website and brochure is not open. Has good potential but not ready for prime time.

Room Tip: stay elsewhere

Dear Sir,
my name is Andrea Doria and I'm the General Manager of Hotel Ai Reali.
we read attentively your feedback regarding our hotel and we thank you for your comments that will help us to improve the quality of our service and our professionalism. We just wanted to point out something regarding our fitness centre. Correctly you noted that is not yet open, but you wrongly commented that we advertise and promote it. If you have some minute to spend in our web site, you will easily see that "Ai Reali will SOON introduce a fitness centre".
In fact the fitness centre should be open in November 2013.
At the end, being the hotel who obtained the highest score in your feedback list, we really hope to see you again in the near future
With our warmest regards.
Andrea Doria

We had three lovely days here. The room was very nice with a large balcony and was on a good position. We arrived and departed by water taxi. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that you had to pay to use the pool facilities which we don't think is reasonable.

We stayed at this hotel on our last two nights in Italy. The rest of the trip had been spent staying in an apartment in Rome and a villa in Tuscany so we were ready to be pampered a bit before going home. This place did not disappoint! The staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated. We booked one of the smaller rooms and while it wasn't large, it was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed and more! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was squeaky clean and the air conditioning was heavenly after roaming the streets of Venice in 100 degree heat! We enjoyed cocktails on the patio in the afternoons and stopped into the lounge every evening for a nightcap. We were always served a very generous amount of snacks with our drinks-a nice touch! The front desk was super helpful-they arranged dinner reservations for us and secured our taxi to the airport. The complimentary breakfasts were awesome-the coffee was the best we had anywhere in Italy and the food was delicious and plentiful. We would definitely stay here again!

We have just returned from Venice after staying 5 days at this superb Hotel. We booked one of their suites and were not disappointed it was excellent. All the staff were very courteous and helpful, nothing was to difficult. The restaurant was a delight, food was top class. We booked a water taxi to and from the Hotel as it has it's own jetty. We can highly recommend this Hotel, definitely one to stay in if visiting Venice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel ai Reali. The hotel is gorgeous, our room was very comfortable, and I was in love with the marble bathroom. I normally would have been disappointed that our particular room had no view other than into windows of another part of the building, but I was so enthralled with the rest of the hotel, that it truly did not bother me. The complimentary breakfast was excellent (pretty much the same every morning, but that did not bother us either, as it always included a large selection of cereal, pastries, yogurt, eggs, sausage/bacon, meat/cheese, etc.). Our last morning we had to be picked up by the water taxi at 4am to make our flight, and the front desk had espresso, croissants, and fruit for us since we would miss the breakfast. I very much appreciated that. My husband and I each took advantage of the spa (I had the best massage of my life there), and because I was receiving a service the spa fee for each of us was reduced from 25 euros to 18 euros. The spa area is relatively small (a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, aromatherapy shower, and lounge chairs in a separate room), but we had the entire place to ourselves. There is also a rooftop area off of the spa where you can sit and have tea/fruit (complimentary). The hotel is in a great location with approximately 3-4 minute walk to each of San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge. Wished that the fitness center would have been open, but I understand that is still under construction.
