“As good as the reviews”

Stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon in October. Could not fault the hotel - staff were friendly, rooms were superb, breakfast was top class. Great location just 5 minutes walk from bus station so easy to get bus to and from airport. Probably about 20 minutes walk to Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square but meandering through the streets is part of the fun. We found some great areas close to the hotel for food and drink which were recommended by the hotel. Could not fault it.

This was our first stop on our honeymoon in Italy. Had we been able to read a map right off the train it would have been not too hard to locate. The hotel blends in a bit from the outside but is beautiful on the inside. We were greeted immediately and given champagne while we waited to be checked in and our luggage taken to our rooms. I loved the white marble floors and the decorations were modern and bright. Our room was on the second floor in the corner near the water. The view was decent but not great. The room itself was perfect. It wasn't large but we didn't need a lot of space. The bathroom was very modern and had everything we could have needed. The bed was comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also good although we were always in a hurry. The only downside was the location which definitely left something to be desired. It was nice being off the beaten path but we were about 25-30 minutes (walk) away from San Marcos square and other major tourist spots. I'd still recommend this hotel because it was a great hotel for a good deal which means a lot in Italy.

First trip to Venice and was very pleased with this property. Smaller property with updated rooms. Nice bar and outdoor area for breakfast. Hotel arranged an excellent guide for the day who picked us up by water taxi outside the hotel. Hotel is on the opposite side of city to Saint Marks but nice walk to the main attractions of the city. Rail station is walking distance with your luggage.

Believe the hype. This hotel has too many good points for you to ignore. It is super close to the drop off points (carpark, station) so you don't have to drag your luggage far across Venice or get onto crowded Vaporetto! I recommend the 50€ driver from the airport option because he'll walk you right tobthe door!
You can easily wander the streets from the hotel and it is close to Vaporetto anyway.
Staff, room size, breakfast and snacks are all good.

What a beautiful Hotel , if you approach from the Airport on the private taxi's , your trip in is absolutely fabulous , ok you pay that bit extra , but if it is a special occassion , which if you are in Venice is probably the case , don't be tight ger it spent .

The taxi will drop you literally on the Hotel door step, as you approach i will say the hotel doesn't look that big and maybe you start questioning your decision ? don't , it is superb , the Staff ,the Service and the Decor is out of this world honestly , a lovely little garden to relax and if you like have breakfast or a drink , it is stunning . Thre only regret was that we were there only for one night before a cruise , but please give the place a go , it is incredible.

Room Tip: Try and have one of the rooms on the canal side.

Service
Almost all staffs from the reception, door man and bar guy were very attentive and friendly to us. Especially the night shift crew, Mr. Lorenzo and his colleague were very friendly and pleasant. In fact, Mr. Lorenzo even gave us a few advices and tricks of going around in Venice (such as average Gondola ride price in Venice and etc)

Rooms
Very well decorated and clean. We were mesmerized with the beautiful decoration of the hotel.

Location
Can be a challenge for first time visitors in Venice. I recommend the hotel to put some signage at Piazzalle Roma bus station to help customer find direction towards your hotel. However, the hotel was a 10 minutes walk from the Venice train station which is an added advantage.

Breakfast
Breakfast selection was good with standard selections of continental breakfast such as yogurt, cereals, fruits and breads. The hotel also provides a snack time for guests starting 630pm every day. Snack time menu usually more or less similar selections with the breakfast menu but without drinks.

Room Tip: Try request rooms facing the canal for better view.

Having come from Hotel David in Florence, which was charming in a B&B type way, Hotel Moresco was more formal than we were expecting. It is a beautiful hotel but has an uptight feel to it (loftiness). We struggled to get a confortable air temperature in the room and never quite acclimated. The breakfast was ok but again felt a bit hassled. We're in our late 40's and perhaps this hotel is better suited for a more senior client. Venice, however, was fantastic!!
