Best hotel in Venice! Great staff, location and rooms! Can't fault it!

A seasoned traveller I decided to take the lady to Venice for her first time and this hotel made our trip! A gorgeous hotel to match a stunning city!

This hotel deserves it's ratings!

Order the room service- 10 euro and as much food as you want! Amazing place!

Room Tip: All rooms are great!

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful boutique hotel in November for 3 days before departing back to the States. We had just disembarked from the Princess Ruby after enjoying a 10 day cruise through the Mediterranean.

After reading Trip Advisor reviews we thought this hotel would be perfect...and it WAS!!! Wonderful venetian charm, the outside entry smells great, our room had a cozy outside balcony and bathroom was large and spacious...and I loved the Rubenism people artwork. In the mornings there was a charming buffet breakfast with fresh juices, pastries, cold meats and eggs made to order. In the evenings, you could pop in and have appetizers and drinks before heading out again to explore one of the many fabulous restaurants in Venice and walk the canals.

With all of that said, the staff at the Hotel Moresco are amazing, accommodating, and friendly. They were always ready to help even going on line with me to book train tickets so my husband and I could go to Florence and see the marble statue of David. The morning we were to catch the train to Florence it was pouring down, the staff provided us with large umbrellas and we were on our way. By the way, the train station is just around the corner from the hotel...couldn't have been any easier.

You'll have a wonderful time staying at this hotel and you'll have one less thing to stress out about. We'll definitely be going back!!!!

After arriving soaking wet straight off the bus from Piazza Roma, the staff were cheery and very welcoming. We were settled into the lounge with a complimentary glass of prosecco and snacks whilst our cases were taken to our room.

Our room was much more spacious than we anticipated. (Note to readers: the last time we stayed in Venice we chose the Hotel Ca' Pisani. The room was small and bijoux to say the least. But it was close to the Accademia bridge). Complimentary bottled water and coffee via the Nespresso machine was a nice touch. There was a well stocked mini bar, but we steered clear of that.

At 630pm every night snacks are laid on in the bar. A perfect opportunity to plot up a restaurant for dinner and of course have another glass of prosecco. Just be careful not to eat too much if you intend going out for a 3 course dinner. You'll never manage it all.

The buffet breakfast was charming and there was plenty to satisfy all appetites. You can order eggs cooked to the way you like them. I did not spot any other hot food on offer.

During our stay, the concierge and receptionist ordered a free water taxi for us to go to Murano, booked restaurants and looked after our suitcases on the day we were leaving.

I cannot score this hotel high enough for the service, atmos and general fabulousness. Yes, it may be a 30 mins from St Mark's Square, but who really wants to stay in the tourist-centric hub of it all. Not me for sure. So impressed were we, we are already planning our return in 2014. Caio; for now!

Me and my girlfriend have just returned from a 3 day trip to Venice, staying in this Hotel. We are not extensive travellers, and this was more upmarket than we generally stay in. But I have to say it was absolutely marvellous, from the moment we walked through the entrance and were met immediately, then being ushered into the bar for a complimentary Bellini whilst our cases were taken to our room. The quality of the room, and the general decor is outstanding. It is located in an ideal place to get around Venice, and the breakfast was marvellous.

This is a quality hotel.

This is a wonderful "boutique" hotel with top-notch rooms, friendly staff and a very convenient location (on the edge of Dorsoduro, right next to one of the main canals but conveniently only a five minute walk from the Piazzale Roma - where the bus from the airport arrives).

At the time of writing, this hotel was rated #1 in the whole of Venice on Tripadvisor and I certainly wouldn't argue: Great facilities (yes, there was even a Nespresso machine in the room!), a warm welcome, and good value (especially considering this is a Venetian hotel).

We would definitely stay here again. (I would say that this hotel is best suited to couples, rather than family groups and would be a good choice if you prefer to stay in smaller hotels).

When we arrived we were immediately offered complimentary drinks from the bar whilst our luggage was taken to our room. The room was superb with a canal view as requested. There was a safe in the room at no extra charge also a nespresso machine with daily refills, the quality of all the fittings and the décor were outstanding. The staff were all English speaking, very friendly and polite .At breakfast, which was superb, you could have bacon and eggs as well as the impressive buffet selection. As it was raining there were free to use umbrellas readily available in reception. We will be going to Venice again next year and will be staying again. A credit to all concerned.

My wife and I enjoy intimate boutique hotels and we have been to a lot of them, but Hotel Moresco stands out for us in very special ways. First of all, the natural warmth and courtesy of the staff was just such a pleasure. Everyone was so helpful, relaxed, and welcoming. It was rainy and cold when we arrived, and they immediately made us comfortable in their gorgeous sitting room and provided us with warm drinks and delicious Venetian cookies. They gave us excellent dinner recommendations and set up reservations for us. We also just enjoyed our sweet conversations with them. They were all exceptionally lovely and made the experience feel so homey and comfortable.

And the rooms! The hotel is pristinely new and brilliantly combines traditional Venetian themes with modern touchs. We stayed two nights on the third floor (in the Town Crier's Room) and one night on the second floor (in the Tailor's Room) when we returned from Florence, and both rooms were breathtaking in their own way. The variegated tile with flashes of gold in the Town Crier's Room was perhaps the most beautiful tiling on any bathroom I have ever seen. And the wallpaper in the Tailor's Room really took our breath away. Neither room had canal views but the rooms were so beautiful we didn't need them. Plus the views into the courtyards and buildings all around were so beautiful in themselves.

We loved the location as well. My wife and I took the 6 euro each bus from the airport and only had to walk 5 minutes from the Piazzalle Roma (with only one small bridge to cross). Super convenient and away from the overly-touristy areas. We were only minutes away from the fun, lively action around the Campo Santo Margherita and all the fantastic intimate restaurants on the Calle S. Barnaba-Calle Lunga-Calle d. Avogaria. (We highly recommend Osteria Alle Corti--awesome!--and Ai Artisti). We also loved Osteria Ae Cravate on Calle Vinanti. So nice.)

In sum, the Hotel Moresco is a very elegant--yet simple and homey--hotel, and we highly recommend it to fellow travelers. Enjoy!

Room Tip: We loved both the Town Crier's Room and the Tailor's Room, but all the room that we peaked o...
