My wife and I recently spent 3 nights and were so grateful we chose this location (thanks to trip advisor). All of the staff deserve superb recognition though we can not remember everyone's name. Barbara and Fabio at the front desk were so professional and polite. Fabio when above and beyond for us helping my wife out with a recipe from his mother. Each time you would walk in or by they stand to welcome/greet you...that little touch alone is more than I can ever remember getting at other hotels. The terrace was beautiful, the hotel and rooms are impeccably clean and décor is amazing down to smallest detail. Breakfast was delicious and evening cocktail hour was also very much appreciated!! Your spot made our vacation and we commend all ownership/management and staff for a 1st class facility. Thanks again!!

Great place to stay. Near the bus and train station, so not too far to walk with cases. Good quality rooms, lovely garden to eat breakfast. Friendly staff, quiet location. A few minutes away are some great eateries at very reasonable prices. Breakfasts were very nice, with eggs and local bacon too. Bathroom was exceptional and very modern. ant fault the place...and yes would try and book same place next time.
stay here rather than nearer the centre, the area is lovely and it's so convenient for water buses and getting back to the airport or station.

We stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Moresco at the beginning of May. I had done extensive research after having to cancel a trip in February and not being able to book The Grand Canal hotel we had been due to stay in. We were delighted with our choice. Everything that reviewers have said on the positive side is true. The hotel is classy, helpful, very personal yet unobtrusive service throughout, close to Piazzale Roma for lugging cases and close for getting on Vaporettos at the first stop- so best seats or viewing positions! We got the 72 hour Vaporreto pass with the Dell Arte boats included (that is not essential and we would have been better getting the transfer from airport included though that was only 6 Euro each way). With the pass we jumped on and off Vaporettos, including across to Murano and Burano (go to Burano for a few hours, it 's really worth it). we had also booked the Viator 'Venice in a Day, Skip the Line' tour for our first day and that was good to get the history and background to the sights. However, for us, the best part of Venice was wandering and getting lost, sitting in canal- side cafe bars, or in same in Campos ( squares), having glasses of cold vino blanco for 3 euro or cappuccinos which were consistently good. When you have the Vap pass it doesn't matter if you go wrong, you're never far from a Vaporettos stop. Back to hotel...every night we got excellent suggestions for dinner and they booked these for us - even where there were only 8 tables- the hotel obviously has influence as one person was moved from a table in a restaurant when they realised we were from Hotel Moresco and they had got the booking time wrong ( we didn't realise this till after we were seated or we would have waited!!). The room were in was nice and the bathroom was amazing with a wet-room type power shower with moonlighting. We were disappointed that we were not allocated a canal-view room and, as I had e mailed three times before I went to ask if they could try to move us to one, I didn't feel I could ask again. Yet canal view rooms became available and I know from guests some people were surprised they had a canal view so we could have been moved to one even for a few nights. I wondered if it was because we booked through Booking.com as opposed to the hotel- but perhaps that's not right at all. However, the most important aspects were excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a side canal view room - we were in the garden view and was not great.

Went to Venice at the last minute and our usual hotel Ca Maria Adele was fully booked , do we reserved a room for 2 nights using the Internet . Moresco is actually a good hotel with great and friendly staff located few minutes from piazza le Roma . It has a garden , a plus in Venice , where I can have breakfast or relax from the crazy crowd. Spotless and newly redecorated, rooms a bit small and a bit on the high rate at euro 400 a night . Live the painting in the bathroom!

The staff st this hotel is great! They remembered our breakfast and wine preferences and took great care in making our stay memorable. The rooms are nice - we were in 208 and had three windows overlooking the canal. I will miss sleeping with the open windows and the sound of the boats passing by. The only negative comment I have is the bathroom was cramped and too small to be very functional. It was a nice bathroom, but tiny.

The hotel was redone, evidently, a few years ago and it has very modern technology without being a modern, stark hotel. We truly enjoyed our visit there.

This hotel was booked for us as an anniversary present by our daughter. The greeting we received from the receptionist was a very warm one and as we were early, we were able to leave our luggage whilst we went off exploring. Very heplful staff throughout our stay. Lovely room with view of the canal. The garden area was lovely and we enjoyed a drink there on arrival whilst the receptionist dealt with our checking in. Would definitely return there.
