We stayed for two nights at this charming hotel within a short walk to San Marco. The room was large and comfortable, and it had a very big bathroom. Only area we saw an area for improvement was breakfast - it was just ok. Overall, we were very satisfied.

This is a charming small hotel in a quiet part of Venice within an easy ten minute walk of St Mark's Square, all amenities and the Vaporetto stops. The staff are very helpful and our room was very clean and well presented. By comparison with other accommodation in the city, it is also very good value. The choice at Breakfast is continental style and rather limited but there are many reasonable canal-side cafe's and restaurants in the area if variety is required. Our room overlooked the canal and it was a delight in the mornings to watch 'real-life' Venice at work.

We stayed at the Palazzo Schiavoni for 6 nights as a couple with our daughter, son in law and 14 month old grandson. It was fantastic. Even though the additional double bed and cot weren't there on our arrival this was promptly fixed within the hour. We had a two bedroom apartment with a lovely lounge room ( with great canal view) and large kitchen with large table. It also had a dining table which was great. Shops selling freshly made pasta and fruit & veg 5 minutes away. St Marks 10 mins walk. Easy access for pick up and drop off by water taxi if you have too much luggage to catch the water bus. Easy access to the water bus though for day to day use. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only drawback was no oven / microwave (not that we found this an issue) and the sofa bed wasn't great to sit on. We would definitely rebooked this apartment.

This was a family trip with my wife and my daughter. We spent three nights there and enjoyed being nearby San Marco without the burden of the crowd. Staff was very friendly but maybe some additional presence would help: we had to ring the door and then phone at our arrival at 2:30 pm (we had annouced we would arrive between 1 and 2 pm) before the door would open. Furniture and interiors are typical of a house, which made us feel warmly at home.

This was my first trip to Venice, and at the tail-end of a two week trip to Italy. We stayed two nights and I really can't say that the hotel was the best, or the worst I have been in. The location is very good, away from hustle and bustle, but still a decent walk from sites, shops and restaurants. The room was adequate, at the top of the building with odd angles and low ceilings. The breakfast was average at best, certainly not on par with what I had in the hotels in Rome and Florence. The front desk staff however was not very helpful or accommodating. They have some work to do on customer service skills. If I am back in Venice, I will probably look at other options before booking here.

We stayed the hotel for two nights. Everything is excellent. It located in a very quiet place in Venice, but very near to the famous places (the square, the bridges, etc.). By staying in this very nice hotel, you may have the chance to explore the beautiful city without so much tourists. I really like it! The staffs are very very friendly, and they helped us a lot. Really amazing hotel to stay!

Room Tip: I don't think this hotel facilities with swimming pool and fitness center.

Stayed here for 3 nights this month with my girlfriend.

We used the directions given on the website to find the hotel, took a while and got a bit lost in the process but I suspect this would be the same for most hotels in Venice! It doesn't have a big entrance as it's essentially another venice "house".

When we got there, there was no one in and we had to wait around for about 30 minutes before the owner turned up but we soon got over this as they upgraded us from a room to an apartment which was a nice suprise!

Was quite a large apartment with sofas, tv, kitchen etc which had plenty of free food in and they top it up every day.

Room was clean and comfortable and in a quite area too which was ideal for our city break.

The hotel is about a 3 minute walk from the main San Marco square and a 2 minute walk from the San Zaccarria waterbus stop.

Would happily stay here again if ever in Venice again and recommend it to anyone thinking about going to Venice!
