Lovely hotel in beautiful location. The owner very friendly. Rooms great size for a family of four. Breakfast limited but nice. Clean and comfortable. I'd recommend especially for families. There is a lovely restaurant for lunch nearby. It is a short stroll along from hotel on the same side of canal in the opposite direction to bus station. It serves great pizza's and prosecco !I'm sorry I didn't get the name of it but it's easy to spot.

as you will read from other reviews, this is undoubtedly a beautiful and interesting place to stay. Please note that if you stay here there are really 2 different businesses going on - 1 is a hotel with breakfast offered and one (where we stayed) is/are suites with self service. The brekky looked pretty nice but guests in the suites couldn't have/order it, even if you paid more (we asked). Not a problem as we ate down the street at Al 133 (recommended). With heavy bags it was a bit of a journey across 2 bridges and if you have any health issues at all, I would advise you to shell out for a water taxi (I tweaked my shoulder lugging a heavy suitcase over the bridges). The Palazzo Odoni has a lovely location on the canal on one of the main walking routes to San Marco, but it is quiet and peaceful.

We had a toddler and the stairs were dangerous for him to attempt on his own (which he wanted to do!). The furniture is beautiful and atmospheric. Wi-fi worked well.

We did have an issue of a bag of jewellery going missing which was addressed by the owner (a very nice man) - and the jewellery magically turned up as we were leaving.

Good location for access from train and parking but must take boat to main attractions. Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Best croissants in town. Would definitely return.

Perfect location, in a quieter area of Venice but very near the train station and bus terminus. So not much lugging of cases over bridges and canals! Very warm welcome making us feel at home immediately. Beautiful old building full of traditional Venetian charm, fabulous views. Highly recommended.

If at first we bemoaned the hotel's proximity to the train station and parking lots, by the time we settled into the Palazzo Odoni, we had a 180 degree turn around about the neighborhood. For one, it's easy to get to and on a hot summer day, the shorter time to trek through Venice with bags the better. Second, the area is adorable and full of affordable, cute and delicious restaurants that feel authentic and not geared only for the tourist crowds at Piazza San Marco and many nice stores. It's also close to the Scuola San Rocco which is tremendous.

The hotel is charming and truly feels like an old Venetian palace. There are a lot of steps up to the lobby and unfortunately no elevator, but the staff helps carry bags. We traveled as a family of four and stayed in room 6 which was 2 adjoining bedrooms and 2 separate baths -- a decent amount of space and decorated nicely. Definitely a lot of space for the money. No view, but that was ok. The breakfast room is small and a bit cramped with only one waitress serving all guests but the food was very good.

The one weird glitch -- they don't supply soap in the shower. There's a dispenser for liquid hand soap by the sink but it doesn't reach to the shower. It's a problem easy to remedy if you bring your own bar of soap or if they invest in some. Otherwise, perfect.

Room Tip: If you are a family of four, ask for room 6.

We recently went to Venice for a few days and stayed at the Palazzo Odoni. The hotel is very nice , but the room is a bit small for 4 people ( 2 adults and 2 teenagers). The breakfast was very good.. great selection. Location is great. not too far from St. Marco Square, about 30 min walk. There are also many restaurants in the neighbourhood. Just be prepared to walk up many stairs every time you go to your room. I would not suggest this hotel to seniors.

Very nice hotel in a quiet part of town, close to the train/bus. LOTS of steps to carry your suitcases up. Room set up was excellent for our family of 4 (2 teenage girls) they had a separate sleeping area with 2 single beds. Breakfast was ok. A/C was adequate but could have worked better. Bit of a walk to San Marco/Rialto but better to walk there than deal with the crowds. Biggest drawback was that the room did not face a canal.
