Certificate of Excellence

We stayed here at the beginning of June and were absolutely delighted by our experience. The staff are excellent. The breakfasts are very filling and offer a wide choice of food. Our bedroom which consisted of a "double" (really two singles put together) and two singles met our family needs and the room was spotless. The only negative for some people will be something like 45 steps up from street level to reception but, together with walking all over Venice, it does keep you fit. The hotel is "boutique" and was a welcome change from the major chains.
The other advantage of this hotel is the short walk to the rail station (one long bridge to navigate with cases) and the bus station (two short bridges) with both being within 5-10 minutes walk which makes access very easy. St Mark's Square is about 25 minutes walk away. Our tip is to buy tickets for the Vaporetto (water buses) and take a journey all the way long the Grand Canal (service 1 or the quicker service 2 which makes fewer stops). If you can get front seats this is the way to see Venice from the water! Also you can use a day or multi-day ticket to go out to the outlying islands either the Lido or Burano for example and escape some of the crowds you will find in the centre. Out first trip to Venice but hopefuly not our last! Oh and don't forget to take a gondola trip we did this on our last day and it was a fantastic experience.

Excellent location, beautiful hotel with clean rooms (we are total neat freaks and this was up to our standards). There are plenty of opportunities to stay in "ultra modern" hotels in life but how often do you get the chance to stay somewhere charming, romantic that makes you feel like you have gone back in time? Also, they served yummy breakfasts!

Great hotel. Close to the train station only 5 minutes walk if you can read a map lol - found the owner on our attempt to navigate our way in the dark to the hotel which was a bonus. Great staff and owners. Friendly and always willing to help. Located on a canal - out of the hustle and bustle of St Marks Square, short walk to the main areas of Venice. Beautiful rooms - nicely air conditioned, large space for the 4 of us. Breakfast was amazing! Highly recommend to anyone staying in Venice :)

We loved this beautiful hotel...it was the first "taste" of Venice for us and it provided a lovely, authenic beginning. The courtyard certainly sets the mood; the rooms are pretty and clean; the staff outstanding and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

We were recommended to stay here and it met with good expectations.
The staff very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast room a little small to accommodate guests but a very good breakfast that filled you up for the day.
The area is much quieter than closer to st. Marks square and restaurants much cheaper and filled with locals rather than tourists.
We would loved to have stayed at Palazo Odoni more than 3 nights but would go back again.

Really impressed by this place. Proper solid, very beautiful Venetian palazzo with quiet courtyard on calm quayside on airy canal. Handy for Piazzale Roma yet well away from the noise and cars. Charming, perpetually helpful staff. Great map with keys routes picked out.
Big comfortable room with spacious, well-appointed bathroom where everything worked well.
Particularly impressed by the breakfast- high quality ingredients e.g. leaf tea, organic yogurt, decent cheeses and salumi, delights like strawberry panna cotta, great croissants and small cakes (different every day), abundant fruit.
I picked up a sense of generosity here, and a palpable desire to please and give guests good value. I recommend this place unreservedly. Expensive (but then Venice is!) but very good value for money.

This is a beautiful place wth exceptional service. We choose this hotel because we wanted to be able to walk from the train station and be able to depart from the bus/car terminal. It is only two bridges away from both. We also choose it because we wanted our hotel to be on a small canal and we needed a room for 4 . The breakfast is amazing which includes made to order cappacino's. When we returned to our hotel in the evening at dusk, the candles were lite just like the pictures online. It was breath taking.
