We recently stayed two nights at Ca' Gottardi and were pleasantly surprised by the level of service and presentation. The staff were most helpful and informative. The attention to detail was impressive. The proximity to most attractions was also an added plus.

Room Tip: our room was positioned to the back of the otel so we had no outside noise, it was accessed via the...

Being a very frequent traveller and having stayed at many different hotels including all the main stream ones (Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott etc), it was a very pleasant surprice to arrive at this hotel. They provide a rare kind of personnel service that I have not seen at other hotels. The hotel itslef is in a typical venezian building with a perfect location right at one of the kanals, and is very clean and up to date. Please note the special symbols in the roof of the breakfast room.

Unfortunately we only had one night night, but will definatey choose this hotel for a future visit to Venice - Well done :-)

After looking and looking for an affordable and nice hotel in Venice, I just decided to book this small boutique hotel as my friend that used to live in Venice recommend it to me and I am so glad I did it. The hotel is very centrical in Strada Nuova, next to a canal and just 10 min walking from Rialto bridge. But the best thing was getting lost in the small streets around the hotel and discover the real life of locals :-). The room was very clean and had a partial view of the canal. Breakfast was as well very good. The staff is very helpful and smiley. I really recommend this hotel.

We have visited Venice every two years since 2007 for the Biennale, and we've been hooked on Ca' Gottardi since our first stay. Excellent service, very nice rooms, and convenient location keep us coming back to this gem of a hotel for up to a week's stay or more. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful including finding great local restaurants off the beaten path. The daily breakfast and coffee bar are lovely and a super way to refuel before a busy day of sightseeing. We have stayed in Ca' Gottardi's range of rooms and suites both in the annex overlooking the bustle of Strada Nuova, or facing the canal and quiet back alleys, and all are tasteful and clean.

Room Tip: The range of rooms in the main building are usually cozy and quiet; annex rooms are slightly larger...

Having just returned this afternoon from Venice I'm writing this review with thoughts fresh in my mind. The hotel is situated on the Stada Nova, around 10 mins walk from the Rialto bridge an market. Having already read quite a few of the articles on Tripadviser, My partner and I were prepared to hunt around to find it, as it's not immediately obvious from the street. We were greeted by a polite young man on reception and shown to or room (203) which was within the main building (a former 'palace' owned by a rich family). Each room has been individually styled and decorated. Our room was decorated in a gold colour of luxurious wallpaper. It was dimly lit, but this added to the italian ambiance and mood. The bathroom included a great mirror, bright lighting and a bidet (should you need to use one!). Our room faced another building, which made it fairly dark, nevertheless, we felt that this did not detract from the great feel of the hotel. There is a map and a booklet in the room about Venice for guests to take. A fridge is situated in the wardrobe, although we only found this when packing up! there is also a safe in the room (just make up a code).
The reception area is decorated to a high standard.. it doubles up as a dining room where you eat your breakfast. They have baby grand piano, which is more of an ornament rather than to play. That's whre the gluten free food is at breakfast time. I was really impressed that they had Gluten free and Diabetic breakfast products to eat as well as standard breakfast fayre . There is a huge selection of teas and you can choose which type of coffee you want to have.. They staff will make up one for you. We tried the latte, which was delicious!
The hotel is near enough opposite a reasonable sized supermarket ( just over the bridge). We found this handy for grabbing water (it was really hot). The Stada Nova is a wide walkway with plenty of shops and gelaterias selling the most delicious ice cream!
The staff at the hotel are friendly, but not overly so, resulting in a very pleasant stay. The rooms are exceptionally clean and there is free Wi-fi included in the rooms as well as in the reception area. Just ask for the password. Iced tea is available free of charge on the dining area. They even have a lovely big comments book so that visitors can write their thoughts! Good location. Recommended.

Hotel staffs were friendly and provided me many sightseeing suggestions when I arrived to hotel. We had waited 2 hours for the room since I reached hotel at noon.

The staff recommended me to a restaurant close by for lunch. Good suggestion! All dishes are so fresh and the home made beer is special.

Probably we got a room upgraded, it is spacious and clean. Only the switch of water tap was broken during my stay. The room was unique and the dark red color room layout is totally no problem to me. But my wife was a bit scared of it.

I believed It was difficult to find a hotel having such high quality. Therefore, I would not hesitate to stay back this hotel in the future.

some hotels these days can be a little impersonal and lacking in customer service. Not so here. We were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our room with the assurance that we contact them if we need anything. The room was good with a nice big shower cubicle in the spacious bathroom.

Breakfast was a sedate affair with the waiter only too glad to offer help with everything. A simple question about getting tickets to Murano was comprehensively answered.. In short, a lesson in good customer service and staff courtesy that some others could learn from.
