Stayed for 3 nights as visiting daughter living and working in Venice. Friendly, efficient staff. Extremely quiet room looking onto side street. Well stocked mini-bar, including plenty of water. Room and all hotel areas spotlessly clean. Close to all amenities.
Will definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff we met-you were great!

VERY clean, helpful staff, small but nice rooms. Shower was tiny, a large person would have trouble picking up the soap. Very close to everything, museums, great restaurants and the water ferry stop. The (included) breakfast is nice, they could have a few more healthy options, but there are plenty of options nearby.

Room Tip: Check to see if there are any open with a canal view.

I just spent three nights here and really enjoyed the stay. The hotel is in the Dorosduro area of Venice, away from the town center and all its foot traffic, but still near lots of art galleries and good places to eat. The hotel and our room are furnished with lovely old and old-style lighting fixtures and furniture, giving a bit of a feel of old-world opulence. The staff is pleasant enough, but not especially outgoing if you're looking for someone to jump out and anticipate your needs. The are more reactive than proactive. The breakfast room is very small and very crowded in the morning, much too small for the size of the hotel. There is no elevator. But the location and overall ambiance of the hotel make up for this lack. We were also able to "afford" this hotel, which was no easy feat, considering the general price of lodging in Venice. I would recommend it.

Room Tip: Request a lower room if you have several a bags to carry. No elevators.

My wife and I stayed at Ca'Zose as part of a two week trip to Italy for our anniversary. We'd previously stayed here almost 7 years ago and when looking again for our accommodation this time round we weighed up a few option but decided to come back to Ca'Zose as we liked the location etc.

Venice is expensive for accommodation but Ca Zose offers relatively good value. The rooms hadn't been updated since our previous, but are clean and well appointed and spacious enough. In May it was not overly hot, but the air-conditioning was not functioning properly which may have been an issue if it was a bit warmer. 2 sisters had previously owned the property on our last visit, not sure as we saw a few different members of staff during our stay-all were friendly and helpful an spoke good English. Breakfast was as we remembered it, continental with a selection of meats, pastries, yoghurts etc.

We love the location in Dorsoduro, and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Away from the main glut of tourists the narrow streets are quieter, and prices in the cafes etc are cheaper. On our first visit we'd done all of what could be considered the 'main' tourist attractions so this time around we stayed away in the main of St Marks etc-didn't even use the water bus but once you get your barring's it's all easily walkable. There are plenty of places to eat in the Dorsoduro area to suit most budgets, Ai Gondolieri is a favourite for more formal dinning and the corner pub is great for a morning coffee and/or a sandwich later in the day.

Really enjoyed our return visit to Venice and Ca Zose would probably not stay anywhere else.

Choose Ca Zose if you want good value (for Venice) and a quieter location off the main the main tourist track.

Really enjoyed our

This time around we didn't use the water bus at all

All was just perfect, we also got our duoble room upgraded to a Juniour suite (bigger, with canal view). The hotel position is great, 2 minutes walk from Salute stop (line 1).
The room was clean and the hotel staff very helpful.
The breakfast area is nice but very small (due to the typical buildings style in that area), during the weekend you could need to wait a few minutes to get your seat. Anyway that was no big problem, you can wait in your room and the staff will give you a ring as long as someone leaves (This happens only if you are late at breakfast and the hotel is full).
I would definitely stay there again!

Good location, Dorsoduro, quiet area, near Canale Grande. Walking distance from vaporetto Salute, Ponte Academia and Fondamenta Zattere. There are some bars and restaurants in the area. Room was big enough and was clean. Bathroom was well equiped, shower very good, towels of good quality and changed when needed, towel heater in bathroom, very confortable. Big water bottle in room replaced as needed, not expensive. Two large windows overlooking small back patio. No noise, slept well. Double bed was comfortable, linen good. We stayed three nights. Personnel were friendly and competent. Lots of information about Venice if you care to talk to them, especially in Italian (which we are). Room was ready when we arrived. Price was exactly as in reservation. Breakfast was very good. Fresh bread, cornetti, cold cuts, fruit, etc. good coffee. Check out was fast, credit card used, some city tax added. Left our luggage for later pick up. All went smoothly. Highly recommended and will use again in next visit. Complimenti.

Room Tip: Sorry, no basis for comparison.
