We were at the Ca Del Campo hotel for 2 nights in January, and enjoyed our stay. It did not appear that there were many guests in the hotel, as we had the small breakfast area almost to ourselves. There is a small lift in the hotel, but we usually used the stairs. We had two rooms separated by a small hallway with a door that closed and locked - adjoining rooms – which was convenient The hotel staff were helpful with maps and answering questions, helping with luggage, and recommendations for restaurants. The hotel is 2- 3 blocks from St. Mark’s square – and a bit difficult to find. Upon arrival at the train station, we went to the taxi stand and were provided 2 choices… 60 Euro to get to St. Marks – or 90 Euro to go down a very narrow canal to a small landing right next to the hotel. We decided to pay more to get close to the hotel. I guess we could have taken the bus/boat – but that would have only stopped at the square. The rooms and bathrooms were nice – no problems. There are shops and restaurants all around.
