We took the Alilaguna water bus from the airport - easy. Just a few minutes walk either end and it's easy and cheaper to book online. The hotel lives up to most of the reviews here - comfortable, luxurious, friendly and great location. Having visited out of the high season, it was also very good value. There are several, reasonably priced restaurants nearby and we never had a poor meal in 4 nights stay.
Recommended bar: Bacaro Jazz near to the Riolto. Friendly, quirky bar with happy hour cocktails between 4 and 6.

What an incredibly beautiful hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were genuinely lovely and helpful and made us feel extremely comfortable. They assisted us with the need-to-know information about Venice and gave us some ideas for places we could eat (which turned out to be an amazing experience). Hotel is quite far from the train station and grand canal, however, this is not a complaint! Although it was a little difficult getting our bags to the hotel, the grand canal was not difficult to walk to (maybe 10 minutes) and we were certainly pleased when Venice flooded and our hotel was minimally effected by it! Room was beyond expected and absolutely spotless. We did get placed on the 1st floor and unfortunately had a window right near reception, which meant we usually heard guests arriving throughout the night, but the hotel was so beautiful in itself, that we did not bother to let this change our views. It did quiet down quite quickly. Breakfast was okay and the view of out of the dining room window was beautiful. The hotel even assisted us with a water taxi back to the train station after we checked out, as we had difficulty getting to the water bus due to the flooding. Thank you for a great stay.

After an exciting water taxi ride to the front door, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful chandelier hanging over the door as we stepped into the lobby
We were greeted warmly by the staff at the front desk. One of the rooms was not quite ready, but they showed us into the adjoining room so we could rest from our journey.
The room was nice - not much of a view though, and the bathroom was wonderful!
Overall our stay was made easy by the the friendly and helpful staff.

We arrived at the Liassidi Palace Hotel after our private water taxi from the airport. The only way to arrive in Venice in our opinion if you can afford the transfer (85 euro if booked in advance online) otherwise 110 euro from Marco Polo Airport one way for 1 - 4 persons and extra over 4 people. The water taxi will land right outside the Liassidi Palace Hotel.
This is a lovely and charming hotel and is a member of SLH (Small Luxury Hotels) of the world and first impressions were very favourable. Greeted by the front desk who were friendly, helpful and with minimum of fuss had us checked-in to our room which was upgraded on arrival from a Deluxe room to a canal view corner room. Tastefully furnished and decorated with large artwork, huge modern bathroom with jacuzzi jets. Also provided was a room safe a reasonably priced and well stocked mini-bar, items of which included beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, fruit juices and water. Also Toblerone chocolate, Pringles & nuts. Free wi-fi throughout the hotel (password given on check-in).
Breakfast provided with a good choice every morning (continental) also hot items of scrambled eggs and bacon. More than enough to set you up for the day. The hotel does not have a restaurant or room service as many choose to eat out at the many restaurants close by and only minutes away by foot. There is a stocked bar which is located in the same room as breakfast, but this is not usually opened or staffed like you would usually expect. They will of course get you drinks and bring them to your room on an evening or to the courtyard in the warmer months, but we did feel we missed the social side of a few drinks at the bar before retiring to bed, but as mentioned the mini-bar is reasonably priced so made use of this.
Tea & coffee replenished each morning also and it was nice to stand on the little balcony with a coffee watching the canal traffic go about its daily business.

Overall a great 4 night stay with friendly staff, comfortable quality room, lovely little courtyard for drinks in the summer (a bit chilly early February!) and located just far enough away from the busy parts on a quiet side canal and only 0.3km from St Mark's Square. Bonus of having its own canal landing for arriving / departing in style!

Ciao...Venezia!

Room Tip: Light sleepers may be better away from canal view rooms..some delivery's heard early morning. W...

My family, husband, sister, grown daughter & son and me stayed @ this gorgeous hotel located on a canal in Venice. First we had an exciting water taxi ride from the airport then shown our beautiful rooms. This hotel is convenient to many shops and so many restaurants and small gelato shops. The shopping was wonderful and of course we walked everywhere.
This hotel is not very large but is beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We've been to Venice before but stayed on cruise ship. We plan to return to this inviting and gorgeous hotel.
Thank you to Graycar Travel on Hamilton, NJ, Lynn to be exact for your recommendation of this hotel.

Me and boyfriend stayed here in February. The hotel is located in a lovely place. Just off the main tourists sites so no noise but close enough to do plenty of sight seeing.

The rooms were clean and nice and the staff all very friendly my only problem was that we were situated on the first floor looking over the canal and hotel entrance and every morning without fail they would have a boat either picking up hotel laundry or rubbish. It would stay for about 30-45mins and it just made an absolute racket! People talking, the boat engine and all the clattering of things passed inbetween. On our last day as ever a boat arrived about 6am. I think it was doing some sort of cleaning and the smell that was being dragged up was horrendous. The windows unfortunately did not block out whatever the stench was or the sound of the entire process.

Overall very disappointed and if you are going to stay here Ask for a room away from the canal or I hope you are a deep sleeper!

My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend to explore Venice. It was January and it rained almost all the time, but this hotel was comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was fairly small but was fine as we weren't in it very much. The hotel was warm. The breakfast was good, lots of choice and excellent choice of fruit. The hotel is by the canal, very picturesque. It is within easy walking distance of everywhere, has shops and restaurants close by.
We loved Venice and would recommend this hotel.
