A friend and I traveled to Venice for two nights and were lucky enough to stay in this hotel. We were greeted by Daniela at the front desk and Steven the bell man with a big smile and welcoming. This makes my trip anywhere I go, but then it got even better when we were upgraded to a Jr. Suite with a bottle of Prosecco. (I mentioned to them when booking it was my birthday trip) How nice!! :) The bed was very comfortable, (they have great linens), bathroom was clean, room was larger than the standard Italian rooms, and breakfast was yummy because they had warm dishes and it was included with the room rate. Location is great as well, we were able to walk everywhere without a problem. We did splurge on the last day on a taxi boat, and asked Daniela if she could book us an all wooden boat and she made it happen for us! :) Yes, the room rate is not on the cheap side, but to be honest I found it to be expensive in Venice everywhere I looked. I was just happy I got what I paid for and more!

Room Tip: Go for a Jr. Suite!

Very happy with this hotel and the customer service. It is walking distance away from most sites such as St Mark's Square, The Rialto Bridge etc. Our room was spectacular, a glass staircase leading to a glass floored bedroom, very snazzy.

Room Tip: Request the rooms with the glass staircase - so cool!

Were are only here for 2 nights but were welcomed with a upgrade of room and a bottle of champagne! The hotel is neat and tidy with decent size rooms. Free wireless is also offered to hotel guests. It's not 5 star but you you get what you pay for this way. Would stay here agin for sure

Room Tip: We were upgraded to junior suite... Room is huge.

Since there was Venice Film Festival and 13th Venice's Architecture Biennale going on, the town was even more crowded then it usually is. So were the hotels. There fore we were lucky to find this one, which looked nice and it seemed on a very good spot, very close to San Marco as well as Giardini and Arsenale (main venues of architectural biennale). The hotel is peaceful and it has a nice place/garden infront to relax and have coffee. When we were taken to the room on our arrival, I thought we got the most miserable one because it looked nothing like the ones on the photographes. There was a bit of frustration, but eventually got better when I looked at the bathroom which was almost bigger then the room, clean and quite luxurious. We decided not to complain, because it was one night stay only and we were going to spend the whole day outside anyway. At breakfast coffee is served at the table, which we liked beacuse you don't have to stand in a line for a coffee machine. The food is ok, but no selection really.

The reception staff might seem a bit rude to people not used to Italian way of service (no greeting on arrival or departure, a bit harsh reply to one of the guest's question about possibility of getting a drink in the garden: "Our waitress is not here and you can't have a drink now!") ... But knowing how hard it is to get a decent room in Venice especially at the end of the week for less then 300 euros per night, this hotel was still considered a good find.

Off the three hotels we stayed in in Italy this was the most disappointing. The staff were great but we were given a room in the middle of the hotel which was tiny. Our air conditioning was really noisy and didn't cool the room down at all. We also thought the breakfast was a little disappointing. A great location, close to all the sights.
