Stayed for one night. Room area was small. The shower area was a little cramped. No shampoo/soap provided. Very basic and aircon was centralised controlled at reception desk.

The close proximity to main train station as well as safe walking street were the main priority.

We have just read your review dear guest and we are sorry our hotel did not met your expectation. The hotel Alle Guglie has big rooms (called Superior rooms with a special view, big dimension and bathroom with tube and shower) and standard room with normal dimension and bathrooms with shower only. They have different prices of course but all have the courtesy kit in the bathroom, changed every day, with soap, shampoo, shower/body cream, toothpaste and toothbrush, shower cap, bear set and shoes paste, as well as fresh towels, changed every day too. The air conditioning system is centralized but can be switch on/off and fan regulated from the rooms as well by the guest. Even if it is well written in the information book inside the room we apologize for not having explained it to you more carefully when we show your room at the check in time. We do hope to have you here again in the future and shall be more than pleased to let you have any additional information you may need. Kind Regards

Location is good, less than 10 mins walk from train station. We thought it would be loud at night since it's on a main road and our room was 1 floor up facing the street, but it was fine. Front desk staff were excellent - Manuel provided all the info we needed regarding boat tours/times/prices, and a great restaurant recommendation (Vini Da Gigio). He even provided packaged breakfasts for us on our last day since we had to check out at 4:30am.
Room was small which was fine, but had a strong odour of a chemical freshener. The bathroom smelled much worse, like mold/sewage. Strange considering the room was apparently just renovated. Air conditioner thermostat didn't work properly, but we were still able to run the AC when needed.
Was also nice to have a fruit/veggie stand right outside the hotel, since the hotel breakfast like most Italy 3-stars is very limited.

Thank you for your review dear guest. We are very happy you appreciate our hotel, its location and our staff, as we are doing every day our best o provide all our guests a relaxing and peaceful time here in Venice. As far as the smell in the room and in the bathroom in particular, please kindly note that as you wrote, our bathrooms in the hotel have been recently renovated but unfortunately not all the very old buildings around the hotel; in fact there were in the past 2 weeks some works around the hotel and we faced this problem which now is completely solved. Please accept our apologies for this. We shall be more than happy to have you here again in the future and invite you to visit our official web site for all our Special Offers for the coming season. Kind Regards

Venice is the only one city where I realised how important closeness to the station is. I even don't want to imagine how tourist with heavy luggage are reaching their hotels in the center!!! Staff was very helpful. They kept our luggage after out check-out until 4 p.m. And also returned my watch which I forgot in the room. We had just that room in venice style from the picture!!! The only shortcoming were crowd in the dining room at breakfast. I will definitely stay at the Alle Guglie when next time in Venice and I will recommend it to my friends!

If i ever have to opportunity to go back to Venice, I'll be sure to stay here again. First off the hotel was in a really nice location. It was not too far from the pzl. Roma, and you only have to cross two bridges to get there. The area surrounding the hotel is beautiful, and not as crowded as some of the more popular areas. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. Putting a modern facility, in a city as old as venice must be a difficult task but they were able to pull it off. the breakfast in the morning was delicious and gave us the energy to get around the city! The staff was was very attentive and friendly. Overall it was a fantastic experience!

This hotel far exceeded our expectations, especially given the low rate we paid for a weekend stay during the high season. The room was well-sized, quiet, comfortable, and very clean, and it looked like it had been renovated recently. he air-conditioning was flawless and the wifi was free. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard continental fare, and the made-to-order cappuccino was excellent. Location was brilliant - easy, enjoyable walk from the train station, fun neighbourhood, away from the tourist hordes. We couldn't have been happier to have stumbled on this gem, and we will definitely stay here again when we next return to Venice!

Just back from this wonderful but very pricey city. I found this hotel through your website and can endorse the comments made in other favourable reviews - excellent location, good breakfast, and very friendly and welcoming staff. In particular I was very glad of the powerful air-conditioning in my bedroom (surprisingly spacious but a tiny bathroom) since it was a week of very hot weather.
