“Excellent Location”

If you are going to travel to Venice then you must stay on the island and it is going to be expensive for something decent. Great room with opening windows and wifi, small bathroom but this was expected. Excellent small balcony just off the foyer but beware of the drinks prices at the Bar. I will just have to chalk that one up to experience as I was overall happy.

Absolutely fantastic location - about a 2 min walk to St Mark's square. The 'canal view' rooms overlook not the grand canal, but a little side canal where all the tourists get on the gondolas - can be noisy, but fun to watch. Also where the gondolas all get put to sleep for the night :-)
The rooms themselves are ok - charming fixtures (chandeliers) and old wardrobes, but limited toiletries in the bathroom. Great shower though!!! Staff helpful and friendly on the whole. Breakfast is ok - a limited selection of bread, ham/cheese etc. The coffee is terrible.
On the whole, a nice hotel, but a bit on the pricey side even for the location

This is a first class hotel located just 15 yards from the NW corner of San Marcos square. So essentially staying here puts one in the very center of everything. Gondolas congregate on the canal outside of the lobby for pick ups and the convenience is perfect for any activity. The rooms are huge by European standards and VERY comfortable and quiet. We received a complimentary upgrade upon checking in and ended up with a small by hanging over a side canal and watched the gondoliers readying their boats for the upcoming days while lingering over our morning coffee.

But BEWARE. The Front Desk passes out a "free" trip to a glass factory in Murano. Of course we took part in it, knowing full well that it was going to be a sales pitch. The demonstrations were amazing at the factory and the high end art glass was awesome. But what was not told to us was that a return trip from the island back to Naples was NOT included! Further, as we walked to the vaporetto stop to pay the 14 euros for the two of us to get back to Venice, we discovered that much of the glass in the shops lining our route was quite similar that in the glass factory,,,,,,,,but at half the price. The whole incident left a somewhat bad taste in our mouths.

Room Tip: There is the regular hotel building and another additional building across the narrow street from th...

Me and my friends were very happy staying for three nights to celebrate my birthday. The hotel was lovely with great location, only 3 min. from St Mark's Square, for exploring a large part of Venice and walking the area after dark. Shops and restaurants were an easy walk away. All the staff were very helpul, friendly and attentive, especially Mr.Sandro at the reception desk. The room was comfortrable, quiet and spacious for 3, very clean and tidy with a good size of bathroom. Excellent and plenty breakfast as well as an amazing view looking at the Gondolas when you have your drink at night. We highly recommend it because it is very good value. We felt sorry when we left yesterday. I can't wait to go there again in the hope of the bar staying open until late morning. Thanks a million to all the staff !!!

This hotel has a god location near the Marcus Square. Our room was up where we had a balcony - and we could look down to all the Gondols. The staff was not that friendly and helpful. Venice has a lot of fine restaurants, and it is easy to find a good place to eat near the hotel.

Our stay here was comfortable but not great! I chose this hotel due to its location. The location is great and non-competing. However, it is an old building with everything that would mean. We had to carry our bags to our rooms which needed to go first by the elevator and then stairs and pass a bridge to another building and then another stairs! Some of my friends complained that their room windows were small and without any view. My window was good but with a view to an internal space between different buildings. The view in the restaurant is amazing looking at all those Gondolas in their station. Breakfast was nice.

Room Tip: The special price you may get is not with a view! You may get a room with worst view ever. If you li...

This hotel is fine, nothing more nothing less. The decor is more 70s than Venetian but the location (just off St Marks square is excellent). Unfortunately nobody advised us of the shutters or how to close them so the room was bright in the night and the twin beds were so narrow I very nearly fell out!! It also meant that I basically had to wake up every time I wanted to roll over.
The breakfast was ok. The fruit was lovely and there was a choice of cereals. Not much hot food to speak of though. It does cater for most people I would say. I would stay again but it's certainly not the best hotel I've stayed in.

Room Tip: Don't chose a twin room!
