We booked 4 rooms in the hotel way in advance, and got upgraded upon paying a percentage of the total in advance of arrival. The location of the hotel is ideal, especially if you come during the Biennale (from June to the end of NOvember), as it's walking distance both from the Giardini and the Arsenale. Although the hotel is close to everything, it's very quiet and surrounded by small cafes and restaurants. The rooms (in the main building) are adequate and clean and sleep quality is also adequate, though not great.. Breakfast is somewhat limited but perfectly adequate. As the hotel is in an old building, there is no elevator, but the first floor is accessible via a rail -wheelchair lift. The staff, without exception, was extremely friendly and helpful and upon departure,k took our luggage to the taxi boat they helped us order.
If you're lookikng for a 3 star type hotel, I would hnighly recommend this hotel.More
