This was my first stay in Venice and certainly will not be my last. I chose this hotel from recommendations on various websites and was certainly not disappointed. The hotel is very small - only 22 rooms of which 6 face the Grand Canal. We we fortunate to be upgraded to one of those facing the Grand Canal the only downside of this room is that it is a little noisy with the comings and goings of the vaporettos but the view and ambience more than made up for it. Our room was all we could ask for - a comfortable bed, sitting room, and roomy bathroom with a great heated towel rail which made washing one's personal items very easy including my husband's exercise gear. The room was very clean and always immaculately looked after each day by the housemaid. We stayed 4 nights including Christmas Day. The hotel is extremely well located to all the major sites perhaps the only downside is that there are not a lot of eating places close by but the hotel is very helpful with suggestions. The breakfast room was comfortable but a bit tight and the actual breakfast is very good with a comprehensive menu although after 4 days a bit repetitive. There is also a excellent bar downstairs with a cocktail hour and complimentary nibbles from around 5pm. You can also pick up the water taxi to the airport right outside the hotel. Alternatively if you are travelling by train then the vaporetto will take you directly to your hotel stop- San Angelo - and you an buy tickets on the vaporetto. If you are going to use the vaporetto over several days then buy a 2,3,4 day pass. This pass also allows you to visit Murano and Burano.

The hotel is an easy walk to St Marks, The Rialto Bridge, The Doges Palace and a couple of vaporetto stops from the Peggy Guggenheim gallery which should not be missed.

Enjoyable stay at this well located hotel right on the Grand Canal. Nicely appointed in classic Venetian style. The room was small for two and adults and two young kids, but we took advantage of a 40% off sale when we booked and couldn't complain too much. Typical Italian breakfast with continental pastries, meats and cheese. Lovely warm hospitality. You could get a ferry very close by, too. Very nice place to stay.

Stayed 2 nights, great hotel with excellent location. Walked everywhere and Vaporetto stop close by. Staff helpful , friendly, and accommodating. Marco, the concierge went above and beyond. He arranged restaurant reservations for our party of seven, gondola rides and answered all my questions prior to arrival. Our room was upgraded to a Jr suite and rest of our party had classic rooms. All the rooms were spacious and similar in style.

Room tip: Members of our party who's rooms were on the water stated there was a lot of traffic at night. All of our rooms were on the first floor.

Very nice quaint hotel right on the canal. Location was close to the shops and dining areas but very easy to get lost especially at night through the winding streets. Breakfast was great nice selection of pastries and fruits. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We did have one front desk clerk that would not call the airline for us when we had an issue with our return trip. Other than that everything was perfect. Room very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Very pleased with our stay.

Stayed for 3 nights at this great hotel in a perfect location on the Grand Canal. Comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. A really nice bar overlooking the canal and (weather permitting) seats outside to watch the world go by. The vaparetto and the Alilaguna airport shuttle stop right next to the hotel so no dragging suitcases across San Marco as you will see lots of others doing. Note this vaparetto stop has no ticket machine so buy in advance or onboard (single trip tickets only onboard). Front desk very helpful in booking restaurants and central location makes walking or boat travel really easy.
