So buzzy and friendly and the Spritz made with Aperol , orange , huge olive and good humour. Also, the customary free accompanying nibbles. Great service, atmosphere, value, drinks and ----- great cakes too. A thousand times better than the hyped Harry's Bar.

“Nice little square not far from Rialto Bridge area”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 29, 2012

We ended up visiting Campo San Luca a few times during our recent trip to Venice. It is quite centrally located just past Rialto Bridge in the direction of Piazza San Marco. In this square you can find a decent looking bar, called Bar Torino. As it was Carnival season during our visit and there were some light music concerts in the square at night time, we think this was put on by Bar Torino.

Here we also found a nice little panificio/cafe that was stuffed with customers, seemingly every time we passed by. We also dined at a restaurant called Leon Bianca, just off the square. While the mains here were sub-par, we really enjoyed the starters, desserts and wine.

Also, just back down an alley off Campo San Luca on Calle Del Carbon, we found a tiny little pizzeria called Becca Pizza, with a sign outside said "Pizza Pronto. This was a very good discovery, the best thin crust pizza we found in Venice.

Overall, we enjoyed the little square square called Campo San Luca. It was a nice little place, with decent restaurants, pizzerias, panifico/cafe and bars and not difficult to find, just being a short walk away from Rialto Bridge. Thus, while not the best square in Venice, we felt like Campo San Luca was good enough for a stop or pass through while visiting the city.
