Lots of outdoor seats serviced by pleasant waiter in perpetual motion. Top choice is spritz. This or a small Birra Moretti appeared to cost 2.5 Euros or 2 Euros if you buy at the bar and stand (cheap!). Great atmosphere on a fine evening in the square and mixed clientele of students, tourists and locals. Ideal place for an aperitif before eating at one of the restos nearby - try the Ai Sportivi at the end of the Campo.

Located at C.po S. Margherita, this place is popular among students for Spritz. The campo is always vibrating with life and there are quite few tourists here. The prices are good.

I stumbled onto Caffe Rosso while walking through C.po S. Margherita.

I had a beer at the bar, and the prices are very reasonable. The barkeep offered me chips.

There is a large seating area outside if you want to take in the sun. Many students and locals were coming in and out.

The cafe has a great vibe and would highly recommend stopping in, anytime of the day.

Caffe Rosso (with a bright red frontage, unsurprisingly) was the perfect spot to watch -and mingle with- students who came into Camp Santa Margherita to celebrate graduation. There are two rows of tables immediately outside the window and then a further bank of tables in the square, all with table service. A cappuccino costs €2.30 and the excellent sandwiches are very modestly priced, reflecting the client base. The square has fruit vegetable and fish stalls, and has a bustling non-touristy feel.

A word of warning tho'- you probably want to avoid the toilet out at the back of the cafe , which has no toilet seat, no handtowels and a hand drier that doesnt work.

We read about this cafe in the highlife magazine with BA. It is in a lovely little square, Santa Margarita, which is residential and not full of tourists. Excellent service, quality and value. Sandwiches packed of fillings and lots to choose fom. We had coffee, beer, two prosecco and two sandwiches for 12 euro. Forget the tourist traps and take the time to find little gems like this cafe.
