Travelled out to the island on the Vaparetto one afternoon -- not as many tourists there and very relaxing. I jumped on the Vaparetto not knowing where it was taking me and I ended up there. It was beautiful -- The view from the Bell Tower is magic and the gardens and Maze next door. The sunset was startling. Well worth it if you are in Venice!

We went up St Mark's tower and also this one and we were glad we did; this tower offers a nice overview of the main island and compliements the other views of Venice.

The church itself it worth a quick look around but there is not much else on the island, and you need to get the boat over, however it is still worth the visit.

I took the advice of others and paid for the lift to this belfry instead of St. Mark's and I think it was well worth it. I really enjoyed the views of Venice from the top. Really worth it.

First, you can reach the church only by vaporetto. Since the best way to see Venice is by vaporetto with 1-day, 3-day or one week ticket, that should not be a deterrent.

First, the church is a Palladian church with a facade of two super-imposed Greek temple fronts. Second, the interior is harmonious and orderly, traits of Andrea Palladio's buildings. Then you can see a couple of large Tintoretto paintings. The "Last Supper" is one of the artist's best.

For most people however, the best part of the visit is to take the elevator up the bell tower (a small fee) to take the best possible view of the lagoon. Especially if it is a sunny day.

Stopped off from the Water bus to this small island and really glad we did. This is a lovely church wi th wonderful art and wood carvings for the choir seating. The view from the tower is breathtaking.
