We'd been touring around Italy for two and a half weeks by the time we hit Venice and this hostel was like a breath of fresh air. The rooms were hotel quality; key cards, comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms, hardwood flooring, nice clean interior design and air conditioning! Unfortunately the WiFi wasn't working for the first two days we were there and once the bar was closed the staff refused to sell us any food or drinks. The barman was very generous and amiable, however the rest of the hostel staff would be best described as grumpy. Nevertheless, this is undoubtedly one of the best hostels in Italy; almost on par with the hotel that we had stayed in whilst visiting Assisi.
