We enjoyed our 3 day stay at this family run hotel. Even though only two star, the rooms were very cute, immaculately clean and appeared recently refurbished. Our room was very small and did notice other rooms appeared larger due to different shape. We had a corner room. Unfortunately the hot water broke down on our last night and next morning, but the owners were very apologetic and as we checked out he handed us 20 euros as compensation. That's pretty good service in our eyes! Only 150 metres walk from st. Lucia train station.. Which is great with luggage. Venice is not set out for travellers on foot so I highly recommend if travelling by train staying in this area. You won't be disappointed. Nice walk to Rialto bridge and St.Marco square while browsing all the shops. Better than fighting the hordes of people on the water buses. Breakfast was plentiful, yoghurt, cereal, croissants, breads, ham and cheese, coffees and teas, fresh juice. Night manager could learn to smile more! free wifi, however it does cut out alot.. But was greatful it was at least available. Good air con and flat screen tv.. BBC and CNN for English speakers. Overall a pleasant stay and recommend to others.. We would definitely come back.
