My wife and I spent our last couple nights of an Italian vacation here in October, 2013. This is a charming building over 500 years old on a typical narrow Venice street and just off one of the small piazzas. It is less than a 5 minute walk from one of the vaporetto (water bus) stops (on the Grand Canal) with the Alilaguna stop (boat to and from the airport) in the same area. There is no elevator and we were on the top floor, but they helped us with our luggage and the stairs were part of the experience in an old city. Rooms are small by US standards, but you need to be ready for a smaller room in Europe, and they are nicely decorated, clean, and quiet. We had a small balcony with table and chairs which overlooked the street the hotel is on. It is an easy walk to St Marks square and other sights and part of the fun is exploring the narrow streets of Venice. On a return to Venice we would stay here again!
