The location of the hotel is amazing. 5 minute walk to St Marks square in one direction, 5 minutes to Rialto in the other. The hotel emailed me a few days prior to my arrival with directions and a map and also made a suggestion of which water bus to get from the airport. The hotel was very easy to find.
When I arrived the staff were extremely lovely and helpful and carried my bag to my room. The hotel and room were very clean and decorated in a charming way. My rooms window opened out onto a canal and I could see the gondolas passing by which was brilliant. The room had a mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. The shower was good and the water was always hot.
This hotel represented excellent value for money in an expensive area. I would definitely return and stay here again.

We're a family with 2 teens. The room was nice - a suite with 2 separate rooms and a good sized bath. Note there are lots of stairs - not a problem for us. Comfortable, and we made the fun discovery in the morning that our window overlooked a rio, complete with gondolas. This hotel is in a great location - about halfway between Ponte di Rialto & Piazzo S. Marco. The hotel sent us clear directions about a week ahead of time. This is a good value in a prime location in a beautiful city!

Would gladly stay at this hotel again, we had two rooms next to each other over two nights and the owner who greeted us was very accomodating and helpful. Ensured we were happy with the traditional style and location of our rooms and offered to help us with our decent sized luggage up the couple of flights of stairs. Wern't too bothered by no lift, if you don't like stairs, dont come to Europe!!

Rooms are standard hotel sized rooms, both were clean and well cared for and bathroom was a decent size aswell. Both our rooms overlooked the lovely canal where we were greeted with tradionally dressed Gondolla men singing on the bridge below. Included Breakfast was also lovely, not the typical american style hot breaky options, more traditional italian offerings like fresh bread, cheese, chilled meats, yoghurt, fruit, cereal and juices.

Location was great, found relatively easily from the Rialto water taxi stop - and very helpful instructions provided by hotel via email a few days prior. Plenty of shopping and yummy restaurants close by and only a few short minutes walk to St Mark's Square. Quite a romantic location, happily got lost a couple of times wandering through the many enchanting streets. To any women travelling alone or in groups, we travelled in a group of four and felt very safe in Venice even in the quiet wintery night - with my mother, grandmother, teenage sister and my 25yr old self.

Overall would definitely recommend to others travelling and hope to visit again!!

Spent there 4 nights and was satisfied with stuff, location and breakfast. Very cosy hotel, small but clean and charming. It is near to Rialto bridge, so you can get to see all old town and can be close to your stay place-very convienent.

The price it is in a great location. Only two minutes walk and you're in the square.

Venice is small so you can walk across it in 15 minutes but the hotel felt like it was in a good location.

Breakfast was a good spread and I like that they had real eggs as most Italian hotels don't.

The rooms were very Venetian and small but not too small, just old Venetian small.

Close to the bell tower so it's nice being woken up by the 8 o'clock chimes.

This hotel was a great place to stay in Venice without spending all of your money. Very clean and in a great location, isn't that all you need? Spend 2 nights here in June 2013 with my wife. We took a water taxi from the train station to Rialto and wandered through the streets trying to find this place. YOU WILL GET LOST IN VENICE! But that should be expected and is a lot of fun and part of the experience. The hotel itself was decorated in typical Venetian style. Very old and cool decorations. One word of caution to people who are not physically fit, there are no elevators and there were a LOT of steep and narrow stairs to get to your room. The staff carries your luggage to your room which is a huge help. Easy walk to the Grand Canal, St Marks Square, tons of restaurants and shops everywhere. Go to Campo Santo Margherita, it is the best square in Venice with a lot of outdoor restaurants and a lot of young people. It was a fun experience just trying to walk there! Overall, great value hotel.

Spent one night here on a brief weekend trip. Room was small but very comfortable and well-appointed. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Very convenient for St Marks and the Rialto Bridge.
