Hotel Malibran, though is located very near to Rialto Bridge a famous landmark out in venice, it not very easy to find the hotel, as there is a corridor walk from the main path which leads to rialto from venezia rly station. Its a 20 min walk from the railway station. Neat and clean rooms, cute window screens and a slightly tilted floor is very cute in appearance. The walls are made of wooden partitions hence sound and voice travels through. So not a very comfortable place to stay and relax, but if you are in venice.. you would want to hit the streets, ride the gondolas, travel through vaporreto (water bus). So you hardly spend any time indoors. Very courteous, English speaking staff. The attached Malibran cafe served good food as well. Wifi is not free, and may cost you upto 3 Euros an hour

If you are looking for a bit of genuine courtyard Venice then this is for you. It's a cheerful little place next door to none other than Marco Polo's place. It is run by exceptionally charming and helpful staff and it certainly has character - I viewed some other hotels which were 'smarter' but seemed somewhat sterile in comparison. Rooms in the main body of the hotel have lift access and are ok - the ones in the annexe are more modern and no lift - but hey, the exercise after all that pizza is good for you. Great view from these rooms into the Teatro Fenice's costume workshop - fascinating day-time viewing! Breakfast is very good and plenty of everything. Tip - get in before 9 as fresh fruit turns into tinned fruit. If possible eat at the hotel's restaurant - it is excellent. We ate there once and opted to go back later in the week - excellent service, hot plates, very good local fare.

Room Tip: Rooms on south side overlook a noisier passage way. Annexe rooms more modern but no lift.

I stayed at the Malibran for four days in August as part of an Italian holiday. The location is excellent- right in the middle of Venice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very small but clean and adequate. I slept well. The shower/toilet room was possibly the smallest I have ever seen. The breakfast was adequate but continental. A sort of cold buffet. I tried the restaurant one night but I would not recommend it. My fish was small and overcooked. It was also overpriced - you can do much better in Venice. I would recommend this hotel for the location if nothing else. I was generally happy with my four days there.

Typical Venetian hotel hiding round a corner a stones throw from Rialto bridge . We had a lovely room overlooking front of hotel - cleaned daily - lovely clean fluffy white towels every day . Bedding changed every other day. Allocated room in 'new part' at first- no lift over there so not good for old fogies like myself - also bathroom was VERY snug with a fold up toilet !!!! Was relocated without any problem. Bathrooms in main part of hotel were being renovated- ours was brand new- great lighting around the mirror and a hairdryer that worked efficiently . The staff were very helpful and the restaurant where hotel guests get 10% discount is fab. The food is great so is the service and excellent value. . All in all a lovely 4 days in the beautiful city of Venice !

Hotel is in a good location reception staff very freindly but the room was a bit dissappointing . On the small side to say the least and the bathroom behind the bi-fold door was a challenge to use.
It was impossible to sit on the toilet straight had to be at an angle then difficult to get in and out due to the enormous sized hand basin and the Bidet taking up so much room . Breakfast was ok
not much variety. The location is definetley it's selling point, repairs were going on during our stay could hear hammering in room above.

We initially had a bit of trouble finding this hotel however once we had our bearings in venice it was so easy to find again due to the great location. The hotel was minutes walking distance to many attractions and was more than sufficient for our single night stay. We were close to the Rialto bridge where we were able to easily get ourselves a gondola ride and it was only about 15 minutes walk to piazza San Marco. Our room was in the new building and was clean and spacious. We had no concerns at all however some may have trouble carrying their bags up the stairs.

Malibran hotel located near Realto bridge, 5 minutes walking.
It is very comfortable place to walk in any part of Venice.
Restaurant offers 10% discount for hotel customers.
Rooms are small, bathroom are small also.
Wi-Fi is for additional payment.
I paid 3 euro for 60 minutes but it seems like my internet connections was unable after less than 60 minutes.
