A quiet room, the smallest bathroom I ever had to squeeze into, the room was simple, quiet, moderately clean and without many amenities. The whole hotel could do with being refurbished. I wouldn't recommend it but if you're on a budget you could do a lot worse.

After google maps not quite getting us to the hotel's location, thankfully some perseverance got us the extra couple of hundred metres through the Calli, we were greeted with some wonderful service. No lifts meant that backpacks stayed on the back for the stairs, thankfully we were only on level 1 but there is 3 levels so make sure your luggage can be carried up the stairs! Although if you are travelling to venice you need to be able to carry your luggage over the many canal bridges. The rooms were quite small and the air conditioning didn't work but the windows opened to allow some fresh air in. The highlight from the hotel for our stay was the great service to help us find a laundromat only a 100m walk away. It's quite a central location and within a 10-15 minute walk of any of the main attractions and has many great restaurants nearby.

We booked on-line during off-season. We got a really good off-season rate! Not sure of what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Our booking was accurate and they were expecting us. Rate was what we booked. Hotel was small, clean, and easy to find with their directions on the website. Yes - rooms were small but -hey- this Venice and you're not paying very much! This is not a 5 star hotel and if you know that already - then you will be pleased. Please don't expect 5-star service like bell-hops or people waiting on you. The breakfast was really filling: quite enjoyed them! Juices, cereals, yoghurts, fresh buns, meat, cheese, etc - very nice - even with table linens and linen napkins! Only drawback was that in our room, the mattress was quite firm and found it tough to fall asleep - otherwise...I will stay there again!! Front staff were very friendly and could speak passable English. Best kept secret in Venice!

I stayed at hotel Pantalon during Carnival time for two nights. When we called to the hotel for having information about the direction for arriving, Erica helped us with her personally direction and in 15 minutes we arrived from the Railway Station. During the check in she gave a map and show us on the map the most important monuments and museums to visit.
Room was a little bit small but traditional with pretty decor. Breakfast was good and also the waitress was very helpful, she has prepared a very good hot chocolate.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel
Thank you, I will come back to Hotel Pantalon next time.
