“First Restaurant in Venice.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We did it again, persuaded to enter a restaurant, by a slick talking people grabber, why do we do it. A free aperitif and bread served by again a sweet talking gigolo type whose main aim was to chat up my partener. We both chose the Sea bass and it was one of the best fish dishes we have ever had. But it came at great cost ie: we thought it was for each fish, but it was sold by the kilo, usual con and we fell for it.80 euros! But it was well cooked and delicious. Service was good but again I must stress,be careful and ask about the pricing.

“A "tourist" restaurant that's also authentic”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

Even though this restaurant is on the very touristy Lista di Spagna, it has an authentic feel with very attentive multilingual and friendly staff. Décor is very bright and warm. The food also is very good especially the fegato alla veneziana....very tender and tasty. It also has a decent wine list. The tables are close together but it adds to the atmosphere with total strangers chatting to each other. They're also very friendly towards lone diners as I saw two that evening who were made very welcome, which isn't always the case in the restaurant industry. ("Belluno")

“Venice expensive yes. Excuse to take advantage no”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

Reviewer below is correct that Venice is expensive and most acknowledge this, but to be totally misled on a menu and by staff is completely different. Went to try the set menu and was encouraged to try the fish platter at €8 however the final bill came to three times that amount.I discourage anyone to use this restaurant but if you do please clarify price before ordering.
