maybe it was the biennale period, but i am not totally happy about Galleria. It is a fascinating small hotel, with a very glamorous entrance. However i found the room very simple, if not modest. Also, and that is the real negative, noise from the restaurant downstairs kept us awake till 4 am. Happy Venice is so full with tourists, but honestly when they get between me and my sleep, i mind them. So, overall a nice hotel, but make sure you have a few bottles of wine for dinner if you want to sleep.

Room Tip: by all means avoid rooms facing the Accademia bridge (and above the restaurant) unless you are into...

We just had our second visit to this hotel having been over 10 years ago. Stefano and Luciano are perfect hosts. This historic building dating back fo 878 is amazing. The location next to the Academia vaporetto stop and we were in Room 10, their largest room with two large windows overlooking the Grand Canal. It is also immediately adjacent to the Academia museum. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning on a silver tray, nice touch. Included rolls, croissants, cheese, juice, yogurt and tea and hot chocolate. We liked this area because of the handy number of restaurants and it is a quieter side of Venice but an easy walk to St Marks Square.

Room Tip: Rooms vary in size. I would recommend Room 10 or 8 if possible as these are the largest rooms and h...

Stefano and Luchano run a nine room bed and breakfast that feels like a small, warm, homey apartment. It is in a historic palazzo. The joy of coming off the Academia Bridge, turning right and being there was fabulous. This location is quite central to many things one wants to do. The place was beyond clean. The generous continental breakfast served in the room, where you can open the big windows and sit before it with your table, looking at the people and the bridge ever active. Albert at the desk, who is mostly there, was full of great information and advise.
We will come here again for it is also a bargain.

Room Tip: some rooms do not have a bathroom..so make sure to ask.

We had one of the larger rooms with canal view that this hotel offers. Perfect location when one is dragging suitcases around... Right near the Academia bridge and boat stop. Owners very helpful, clean, safe. The only improvement I would suggest is WI FI in the rooms, going to the very small lobby each time we wanted o check mail was a bit of a hassle. We continue to do business while on trips and so Wi FI is important. I would highly recommend Albergo Galleria!

Room Tip: Ask for large canal view with private bath

Just spent 3 nights at Hotel Galleria, Venice, and could not have been more pleased with the charm of the hotel, the room (#8), the view and location right at Accademia Bridge, breakfast delivered to our room each morning (very special!), and Albert and Luciano who could not have been more gracious hosts and so helpful to us in planning our days' adventures and restaurants. Hotel rates in Venice can be high, but we found Hotel Galleria to be just the right value and accommodation for us. There are MANY hotels in Venice, some located on charming small canals in the interior sections of Venice, but do your research: some of these places are not very easy to get to because of their location. Hotel Galleria is right on the Grand Canal and right at Accademia Bridge, which gives you direct access to major water taxis going to the train station (literally just a few feet from the front door of the hotel), or a private water taxi to get to the airport. The public water taxi from the airport drops you off at a dock at the Zattere stop which is just a short, easy walk straight ahead to the hotel - no dragging suitcases up and down steps over bridges! BOOK EARLY - the hotel only has 9 WONDERFUL rooms.

Thank you, Hotel Galleria, for making our visit to beautiful Venice very special,

A lovely hotel, easy to find (following instructions provided by the hotel). Our room (3) looked out to the Academia Bridge and Grand Canal. Breakfast was perfect sat by the window watching the hustle and bustle. Our bed was very comfortable and we had lovely fluffy white towels. It surpassed my expectations for a 1 star hotel. Tripadvisor reviews helped me choose this brilliant hotel thanks to the wonderful reviews that are fully justified.

My wife and I stayed here on our first trip to Venice and really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were very clean and service was very warm. The hotel was a little difficult to find - not because of the location which was very good, but because of the minimal signage.

The only downside was the size of our room. It was very small (rm #1), but was adequate for the little time spent there. We looked at the other rooms and there were larger options but they booked early. I believe they book in Sept for the following year, but not certain.

Would definitely stay there again and recommend this place as a good value!
