The buffet breakfast was delicious and more than adequate; room was large enough for 2; bath a bit small (but not unusually so for a European hotel); location was within easy walking distance to wonderful restaurants, San Marco square and transportation from the airport and to the cruise ship port. Close to the popular tourist attractions yet located on a quiet campo. Very nice.

The location of this hotel made it a great choice. Just a short walk from San Marco Vaporetto stop this hotel was a perfect base when discovering Venice. Although, the rooms were small (the smallest we saw in Italy) they were comfortable and clean. I had read reviews complaining about paper thin walls and loud street noise at other hotels - this hotel was fairly quiet. There was only one occasion when we heard noise from the people in the next room when they came in from a late night. So this was not a big deal. The morning breakfast is better than most with many choices and attentive, friendly staff.

A little gem of a hotel. Excellent location in quiet alley just off the busy waterfront. St Marks and water taxi stop within a minutes walk. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast in spacious dining room. Our small room was a little cramped but neat, clean and quiet with a modern bathroom and a safe. The building is an old convent. Right round the corner is Birre Forst where you get tasty, cheap cafe food - the gondoliers all come in to have their snack and coffee so that says it all. Plenty of good restaurants nearby but choose carefully as some want to vacuum your wallet. Catch the Blue Line Vaporetto if transfering to a cruise ship.

Room Tip: The room configurations vary so it could be useful to ask about them beforehand. Our friends had a s...

We found this hotel via Rick Steve's list of recommendations. The hotel was in a great location to St. Mark's Square (less than 2 blocks away) and the water taxi. The breakfast was good, but the hotel staff was less than friendly and helpful. For the location the value was good and the room was small but adequate as most are in Italy within this price range.

Brilliant hotel , staff very helpful especially Marina, stayed in the apartment and because there was 3 of us it turned out to be perfect as it had 2 bathrooms and a great little kitchen if you were staying for more than a few days, hotel is surrounded by places to eat , some more expensive than others

Room Tip: Get a good breakfast to set your self up for the day. book the apartment if more than 1 person

Rick Steve in his book recommends this hotel stating that the staff are helpful and friendly. Clearly those staff are no longer there.Leaving aside the unfriendly reception, every request is begrudgingly
dealt with or worse, declined. Wrong information was given by them in a number of respects.
The rooms are dusty and the plumbing stinks.
