We just returned from about a three week trip through Italy that began with 5 nights in Venice. This is a very good hotel for Venice. It's located about halfway between the Rialto Bridge and San Marco. The staff is excellent. The dog is friendly. A visit to anywhere in Italy is not about the details and amenities of your hotel. Your hotel should allow you comfortable exploration of the city you are there to see. Here is how to find the hotel: get a good map, take the Alilaguna to the Rialto Bridge, find Campo San Luca on your map, walk there, then find Calle Goldoni from Campo San Luca. It's between a 5 and 15 minute walk from the Rialto depending on how many times you get lost and how much luggage you are dragging. Enjoy getting lost, if you can. The Enoteca Al Volto is a great place near the hotel to eat at practically any time of day. When we return to Venice we hope to return to this hotel.

Room Tip: our room faced the courtyard in back so was quieter than some

Amazing location and super nice staff.

Musty smells in the bathroom were bad and windows were hard to leave open...due to mosquito issue.. Got eaten alive ....no screens on the windows just like every other hotel.

Advantages:
- well located close to San Marco and transportation
- Good size rooms, clean, neat and nicely decorated.
- very friendly and helpful staff
- good price considering the location and peer hotels

Disadvantages:
- Poor airconditioning.. passable..
- Poor breakfast in all means

Yet, it is recommended for people who are coming to see venice and who don't like to spend most of their time in the hotel..and care about their budget

Room Tip: Make sure that the AC in your room works properly in summer

lovely hotel staff so helpful, breakfast usual rolls/ croissants and fresh canape type items too. Air conditioning took a day to get 'cold' but was fine. Clean room and so handy for ST Marks and Rialto would recommend :)

Room Tip: we had 254 on the rear side over looking quiet square :)

Just got back from this hotel. It is a really good budget hotel a few minutes from both San Marks square and the Rialto. It is family run and very helpful. Breakfast is the usual continental but enough, toast, rolls, egg, yoghurt and meat, tea or coffee and juice. Rooms clean and air conditioned. The reception is very helpful. I would definitely book again. You will find venice very expensive to eat out and very restricted for veggies. They only do breakfast so you have to eat outside

Room Tip: We were at the front of hotel and the room was on the second floor and fine. I would think rooms at the back are quieter as it is an enclosed square. Not that there is really that much noise after midnight but people do seem to get up early but not a problem to us.
