“Nice pasta”
Reviewed September 30, 2013 via mobile

We arrived after 22:00 and the waiter told us they will close in 10 min; nevertheless they still serve us the dinner and we managed to eat in 30 min, the pasta with shrimp was excellent, the fish dishes with polenta is so and so. Overall nice place and food with decent price and friendly service, recommended.

“Great spot garden eating”
Reviewed September 27, 2013 via mobile

Four of us went here for dinner. Ate in pleasant garden setting. Not fancy but excellent food. I had fegato alla Venezia (liver) the best with an excellent polenta. The fish soup was to die for loaded and delicious . The pasta dishes very very good. The service was good and the prices reasonable.

“63rd wedding anniversary”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We were in Venice to celebrate our friends 63rd wedding anniversary and had dinner at this restaurant because of reviews at Tripadvisor! We were so pleased with our dinner that we returned 3 nights of the 6 we were in Venice. When we stated that we would prefer the "steak with peppers" on the menu to be "steak with mushrooms" it became so!! And it was one of the best filet mignons we have had!!! The 11 of us loved our food, wine, complimentary welcome drinks, service, and sitting in the little garden in the rear of the restaurant. Alexandra, the chef and the owner all took great care of us!! We highly recommend Trattoria Alla Ferrata!!

“Great Food, Great Prices, Great House Wine!”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

We visited this restaurant a few days ago because it was close to our hotel and it was the highest rated on Tripadvisor in the area. It was EXCELLENT! My fiancé and I dinned with another couple and we were seated outside on the back patio. We ordered the homemade four cheese gnocchi which was everyones favorite, we really enjoyed the steak with mushrooms, and everyone agreed the pizza was one of the best we had while in Italy. We ordered a bottle of red wine for 18 Euros which was fine until we tried the house liter of Merlot, that was excellent and it was only 15 Euros! For an appetizer, a bottle of water, a bottle of wine, a liter of wine, 4 entrees and a pizza our total bill was 102 Euros! Can't really beat 51 Euros a couple and there was even live entertainment! I would return in heartbeat! It was helpful that our server spoke English.

Side Notes
We also ordered the pasta carbonara, the pasta was homemade but the sauce and the dish overall was average and a bit bland. The white fish we ordered was pretty basic as well, it was a good choice but not fantastic. The appetizer we tried was a mixed broiled seafood, it was very interesting, the baby octopus was a bit too daring for my taste.

“Nice local restaurant”
Reviewed September 11, 2013 via mobile

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel. The food and wine were both lovely and very reasonably priced. It had a traditional feel with locals also eating there. The garden area at the back was nice. We would highly recommend eating here.
