We visited this restaurant a few days ago because it was close to our hotel and it was the highest rated on Tripadvisor in the area. It was EXCELLENT! My fiancé and I dinned with another couple and we were seated outside on the back patio. We ordered the homemade four cheese gnocchi which was everyones favorite, we really enjoyed the steak with mushrooms, and everyone agreed the pizza was one of the best we had while in Italy. We ordered a bottle of red wine for 18 Euros which was fine until we tried the house liter of Merlot, that was excellent and it was only 15 Euros! For an appetizer, a bottle of water, a bottle of wine, a liter of wine, 4 entrees and a pizza our total bill was 102 Euros! Can't really beat 51 Euros a couple and there was even live entertainment! I would return in heartbeat! It was helpful that our server spoke English.

Side Notes
We also ordered the pasta carbonara, the pasta was homemade but the sauce and the dish overall was average and a bit bland. The white fish we ordered was pretty basic as well, it was a good choice but not fantastic. The appetizer we tried was a mixed broiled seafood, it was very interesting, the baby octopus was a bit too daring for my taste.

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel. The food and wine were both lovely and very reasonably priced. It had a traditional feel with locals also eating there. The garden area at the back was nice. We would highly recommend eating here.

We sat on a street side table and enjoyed watching the passing local life. Lots of locals were enjoying the restaurant as we did. Great atmosphere and good simple food.

We found the trattoria while 'getting lost' in the later evening. It was such an unexpected surprise when we were led into the large patio in back, so much more atmosphere than we thought we would get! While we won't be waxing poetic about the food (it was good, and we very happy to have the cuttlefish in ink with polenta), what is making me right this review is the great, by European standards, service. It was the first meal on our trip where we weren't missing the tipping standards in the states. I would love to find it again on our next trip to Venice, not sure if we'd be able to recreate the getting lost in that way again, though.

Nice place with a garden in the back in the Santa Croce area. Didn't see any locals here, only tourists. Food wasn't bad. We had the Spaghetti Vongole and the Spaghetti Busera. The latter had a nice rich sauce. Perfect to soak up with bread:) The garden atmosphere is nice. If you are in the area, do stop by, but don't make a trip especially to this place.
