This little jem is a must see if you are a classical musician, or like classical music. The museum is free and it is in a nice area of Venice. The harps and lutes are especially interesting.

This is a very interesting exhibition even for those who are not keen musicians. Various instruments on display some of which are very original all backed up with a short but valuable description. Besides even the building itself is worth viewing. The entrance to this museum is free of charge

Found this museum as we were walking around. It is a small & interesting place.
The string instruments displayed were beautiful, some could be called sculptural.
Unless you are an expert, it doesn't take longer than half an hour to visit.
It is nice that the exhibition is in a church, there is a vast selection of cd's & gift items too.

It is outside the standard touristic places to visit & gives an idea of the music from centuries ago.
Would be an amazing addition if they added a mini sound sample to each instrument, and a bit more written information would be a plus for those with limited knowledge.

Just strolling around and stumbled across this museum. It is in the former San. Maurizo Church. Very unpretentious but interesting. Filled with musical insturments through the ages. Violins, old type pianos etc. Definitely to be recomended to the musically inclined and those interested in music history. CDs and other stuff available for sale from the great composers of course Vivaldi!
