Pros: location (near train and Plaza Roma)

Cons: location (difficult to find), small dated room, indifferent staff

Not much to say here. I noticed in the pictures that some of the rooms are much larger than the one I had. Ask to see the rooms before paying. The price of the room, purchased through hotels.com for a little over 100US was not worth it at all. I know Venice is expensive but this was not well spent money. The breakfast woman was really, really nice and same with the man in the morning. The two working at night could use some hospitality training but it is what it is.

Room Tip: I would book this for only one night, see what type of room you get, then if it is good book it for...

We stayed in Hotel Falier during our recent 4 day trip to Venice.

Its very close (10 mins) to the train station, and close enough (25 - 30 mins) to St Mark's Square.

The area is lovely.. slightly touristy but nothing that will drive you mad like other parts of town! There are alot of quaint piazzas and gorgeous walks.. even at night. Quite a few restaurants and shops as well - so you won't get bored.

The hotel itself is fine - very nice lobby. The room was small but completely manageable for 3 nights. Only thing is that it gets a bit hot - but we slept with the window open which did the trick. The only thing i will complain about with respect to the room is the shower.. very poorly designed and floods the whole bathroom! But they provide lots of towels and clean the room every day.

Breakfast was fine - croissant, bread, cereal, etc. Kept us going for quite a while!

I'd stay there again if we got the same or a similar rate - about EUR 60 a night.

We have stayed in the Hotel Falier on three separate occasions. The rooms and showers are small but very clean and, in Venice, there is so much to do and see that one only sleeps in one's room! The staff are very friendly and helpful with advice on how to get to places and in booking tickets, etc. The location is ideal - easy walking distance from buses, trains and vaporettos and also easy walking to all the major central tourist attractions. It is quiet at night and we felt very safe walking back late in the evening after a concert near the Accademia. There are many different restaurants nearby to suit a wide range of budgets.

We stayed in Hotel Falier for one night, as we were meant to stay at another hotel (Locanda Gaffaro) but they had overbooked and had no twin rooms left.

The room was quite small and a little old-fashioned (think: carpeted walls) but the main reception and breakfast areas were nice enough. Only issue with the room was the heat - the air conditioning didn't seem to work and it was extremely hot in the room (and I don't normally feel the heat that much).

Breakfast was fine, much what I expected really - basic cereals and pastries, and tea and coffee.

This hotel is on a quiet-ish street that has a nice vibe, it's not too busy and you can walk around at night and get a real feel for Venice. There's some good restaurants nearby.

Mainly we chose this area for its connections to the transport links - it's close to the bus and train station.

The staff at Hotel Falier are very helpful and let us leave our bags with them for the day whilst we walked around.

Room Tip: Check the air-conditioning before you go to bed if it is warm.

A comfortable hotel with pleasant, friendly staff, always helpful and obliging. Also, a nice location, convenient for the university area and not far from the railway station. Good selection of bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Spent two nights in September at this quaint little hotel on a quiet street. Conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the vaporetto stop. Very small, well kept room. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not good, easily the worst we had of the 6 hotels we stayed at during our time in Italy. Overall this is a safe choice for comfort and service. The main reason for a 3 rating instead of a 4 was value. The rate for this room was very high, but I guess that's Venice.

The staff at this hotel were very helpful. The location of it is very good because it is close to the bus station, people mover and train station yet it is on a quiet street with a very good restaurant close by at a reasonable cost. There is free Wi-Fi and a cute little patio out back for relaxing and enjoying a drink. The room was small but it is only for sleeping and it was a comfortable bed. Venice is a great place to visit and this hotel was a nice place to start our vacation for a couple of days prior to boarding our ship.
