We stayed here 2 nights while in Venice and it is a lovely, charming hotel. The lobby is a museum with pictures, sculptures and of course amazing glass from Murano. The chandalier (sic?) in the lobby is a work of art in itself. The rooms are small by american standards but very clean and adquate for your overnight needs. The shower in the bathroom is a bit interesting but was okay for a quick wake up. Breakfast was good, eggs, fruit, yogurt, sweet rolls, it was all good. The bar area was very relaxing and the garden was beautiful, I would love to be there in the summer when the pool is open. The front desk personnel were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. I like that I have to give them the key before I leave for the day so I do not have to worry about keeping my eye on one more thing. There is a small salon off the lobby/bar area with a pool table if you want some down time. Just outside the door straight ahead is a small plaza with a church, cafe's, restaurants, a pharmacy and of course a gelatto shop. Turn right off the square (before the bridge) and there are street vendors, and a lot of restaurants. I would recommend you stay here as it is also within walking distance to St Mark's and the optional gondola/vaporetti.
