Early of May spend 3d/2n at the Locanda Vivaldi hotel - we stayed in a superior room i.e. a room with a view - which was lovely (room 105). The room was of a decent size - bathroom equally so and everything in the room was perfectly working. It was great that the room had roller blinds which overnight and early morning were also great against the noise.
Hotel location is perfect with the entire center of Venice at walking distance.
Check in and check out was swift and the concierge was great - he gave us a perfect suggestion for a place for lunch in the area (happened to visit the place 3 times during our stay), good advice on shopping and arranged the private boat taxi to the airport at a way lower price than the generally quoted prices ! When back in Venice we will most likely stay in this hotel again.

Room tip: Room 105 was great - with a fantastic view

This hotel is the quintessence of old Venetian charm. We have been coming back here for years and feel like we are entering the Venetian world before the period of mass tourism. This hotel, althoiugh with all modern facilities and equipment, manages to maintain the nostalgic atmosphere of the past. This immediately helps you to feel the atmosphere of the city. This is not only due to the carefully selected decoration, but also due to the service. The location of the hotel couldn't be better either. Located close to San Marco Square, right next to one of the famous postcards of the Venetian bridges and over the equally famous canal, it also offers a view of San Marco Basin. You must try prosecco to watch the sunset from the unique terrace offering one of the best views of Venice. The proximity of vaporetto stops and the ability to reach the hotel's private pier by water taxi makes it one of the best communicated hotels in Venice.

The location was perfect for us – an easy and direct walk to San Marco Square. The hotel has a dock on a canal so we could be dropped off and picked up directly by a water taxi for our airport/train station transfers. The room was larger than we expected and our room had a view of the lagoon and canal. The bed and pillows were very firm (ok for me but a bit too firm for others). The room was clean and everything worked very well (yummy chocolates on the pillow every night). The breakfast was excellent with a variety of breads, fruits, eggs and bacon available. Their restaurant has a great view of the lagoon and we had a nice dinner there our first night when we were too tired to go out.

Lovely little hotel with excellent service. Excellent location with everything with 2 to 5 minute walk. Shower very small but ok for 3 night stay. Nice view of the canal from windows. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location near St. Mark's square and the airport boat. Breakfast was good, and the staff was excellent at helping with any request. Room was fantastic considering how small most in the city are. Beautiful balcony for the junior suite on the top floor with an amazing view of the basin.
