“Good location but don't expect anything else”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

The double room was really to small for 2, very dark (a very narrow window) and bad smell. According to the receptionist the bad smell was in all Venice but a lot worse in the room. Avoid rooms with a window close to the small canal near the hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid any room close to the canal.

Very good location, four blocks away from the Rialto boat stop and about four blocks from San Marco. Room was very small but clean, bathroom more reasonably sized than other European bathrooms (bring your own soap). Good continental breakfast and friendly staff.

Stayed here for 5 nights in July 2013, on the positive side the hotel is in a great location, but that is it. Threadbare carpets every where, tired, depressing, and tiny rooms, not a drawer or cabinet to put any thing in, the rooms are so small that there was 18" between the wall and foot of the bed, the shower in the bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen, breakfast room is small and very cramped and the continental breakfast on offer is pathetic. Staff on the reception desk are the most unfriendly we have ever come across if you want low cost this is the place, but do not expect anything else.
Think one step above a Hostel would not recommend this hotel.

I stayed here just for 1 night in July. The hotel is a short stroll from St Marks square and is easy to find. Rooms are quite small but it was ok for one night. All areas of hotel and room were clean and a good breakfast was provided. I would suggest bringing your own hairdryer as the one provided in the bathroom is basically a hose that blows hot hair which was not ideal. Overall a decent hotel for Venice.

Such a good hotel with an amazing location right between Rialto Bridge and St Marks Plaza. Everything is only a small walk away from the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with any queries and provide a map of venice and its attractions on arrival. Although the rooms are small they are beautifully decorated and well maintained. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Venice!

We were delightfully surprised at this hotel. We had a room all the way on the very top floor, so it was a little more spacious than the other rooms. The rooms were decorated in the Venetian style which was interesting. We were only there one night and it was very comfortable. The only complaint is that even though there is an elevator, to get to the very top floor you have to drag your suitcases up the stairs after you take the elevator. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were not rude. It was very close to the canal so easy to get to and near plenty of shops of restaurants.

Room Tip: If you're not opposed to carry your luggage up the stairs, ask for a room at the top.

Small rooms, people not very friendly. The rooms were clean but noisy at night and the buffet breakfast was okay, the coffee was a machine where you choose your coffee. The location was neat St. Mark's Square, the Grand Canal and the Rialto bridge.
