“Great Hotel Very Well Located”

Very nice and stylish hotel fronting onto the lagoon and straight in front of water bus stop.
Hotel staff all very good and friendly. The porters are fantastic.
We had a suite with lagoon view-Fantastic with electric shutters to the windows to lock out the sun and any noise.- Really good air con as was 36 outside.Views were fantastic-wake up to a cruise ship going past!

Wall paper on walls was in fact all fabric! will certainly return.

Room Tip: A Lagoon View!

10 of us have just returned from Venice, we stayed at the Savoia & Jolanda and could not fault this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated like Royalty. The staff are welcoming, friendly, efficient and extremely helpful.
Thomas, Front of House was great. He organised a wonderful trip to the Islands on the hotel's boat with a great driver, arranged water taxis for us all as we were all flying home at different times. He even managed to contact the opera venue Musica a Palazzo as we had been there on Saturday evening and my Husband had lost his phone. They contacted us and arranged sending the phone back to our home address.
4 couples had Junior Suites overlooking the Lagoon and the rooms and bathrooms were stunning as were the views.
It was my Husband's Birthday celebration and they even put a set of watercolour prints in a book as a keepsake for him.
The location is great, so central for transport either by water bus, private taxi or gondola. Takes only 5 mins to San Marco. Close to lots of bars and restaurants, however, we enjoyed many a drink at the hotel bar enjoying the sun and views. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was absolutely delicious and very good value as you receive a discount of 20%. The service in both the bar and the restaurant is good and if you need to have a quick meal and let them know, they sort that out for you. Breakfast is above average with the available choices and freshly cooked scrambled eggs.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and in fact have some friends from Argentina who are going to Venice this week and have also booked.
It is worth paying the extra for the Lagoon views as you can watch the world go by along with the massive cruise ships arriving and leaving every day!
A wonderful weekend that was made extra special by our stay here.

Room Tip: Pay extra and go for the various Suite options

We stayed at this hotel for a week , for a wedding in chioggia. Everyone was so helpful, from front desk to housekeeping , nothing was to much trouble. We were not expecting a room with a view, but had a side facing room with part view which was a real treat (room 315) Room was more than adequate for our needs with a great size bathroom , we had no problems with water pressure, hard mattress, or air conditioning not working , restaurant is a little pricey but the position is fabulous & food is great !....The position is great from airport ,10 mins walk to ailiguna boat takes you to San zaccaria right outside hotel (15 euros ) one way 27 euros return...its so handy for sights as they are really close to hotel ..be prepared to walk & walk !!! even though expensive do go to Florins the oldest cafe on San Marco square ! you pay extra to listen to music but it's wonderful experience. Hotel provides a complimentary water taxi to murano glass factory ! you feel like James bond sailing over waves sat in true luxury arriving at murano in style !! Venice is very crowded where ever you go , elbows at the ready . To have a glass of wine sat in restaurant at hotel & just people watch , not forgetting the ausome sight of cruise liners going by right outside!! Would I go back again to savoir & jolanda YES ..I would most definitely !! (have posted some pictures)

I loved this hotel! I had a Jr. Suite on the third floor in the center with two balcony doors overlooking the Grand Canal and steps from St. Marks Sq. I sat here having a Bellini every afternoon watching the crowds walk by. The staff was amazing, the breakfast above average, bed comfy, bathroom huge! I highly recommend this for anyone coming to Venezia!

Room Tip: Splurge and get a canal front room!

We stayed in one of the junior suites overlooking the lagoon and certainly the location and view was nice. There was a very small balcony, but two people could sit there and watch the boat traffic. Unfortunately the rest of the room was very dark since that was effectively the only window. The room was aging Italian style, storage was ok but not great, a sitting area with small table, a mini bar, a desk by the window and a swing out television. Not the most comfortable room to lounge in but not the worst, but the air conditioner worked well for us. The bed was comfortable though the lighting for reading or anything else was not sufficient. The bathroom was modern and decent space but the shower was funky (as in did not work well) and with medium water pressure at best.
The hotel itself has a nice small lobby and is right by a taxi stand and vaporetto stops for convenient transportation. And of course it is easy walking distance of the primary sites and other areas of the city with fewer tourists. The restaurant out front is nice for lunch, coffee or a dinner, pretty good food and good people watching. It was nice to have that there when we were tired of walking or waiting for an airport transfer. Breakfast is inside in a boring room or if you are lucky, outside. Choice was limited at breakfast, enough to get you going. Wifi in our room was non-existent which was a major problem, and one that was not and perhaps could not be rectified. That was a major complaint and meant I could not relax in the room over looking the canal and research cafes and sites but had to use roaming data or go down to the lobby. Terrible.
All in all, a really average stay at high Venetian prices.

my wife and i visited this hotel in june 2013 .very easy to get to from the airport via the alilaguna line ferry which stops right outside the hotel.breakfast eaten outside at front of hotel-very nice.room very clean but small and dark and very limited space to hang clothes we were woken at about 5.00am due to local stall holders bringing out their stall on wheels . the location of the hotel though made up for all of this as we were near to everything St Marks square only 2 mins away we ate at the hotel in the evening as we had booked half board i wouldn't recommend this as the set menu is very limited and there are a lot of restaurants around which are better. Can't say any of this bothered us as we had a fantastic time and loved Venice a trip on the gondola being one of the highlights a must if you can

Room Tip: avoid rooms that overlook side alleyway these rooms are prone to early morning noise

We chose this hotel as a pre-cruise option on our own as it was close to one of the areas we could get a water taxi and not have to drag luggage to the interior of San Marco. The staff helped us with getting a transfer from the airport. Guests who stay at the hotel get a 20% off discount on dining. The location is exceptionally nice as it's close to Piazza San Marco and the palace, and we found that compared to other hotels of the same quality and location it was much less. Very good stay.
