“A taste of real Venice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

We stayed here the night before we had to board our Cruise Ship. We were greeted heartily at the front door. Our flight was a late one and Maria was sitting downstairs in the outside restaurant waiting for us. She whisked us inside whilst her son took our luggage and took us to the rooms we had booked. My sons shared a triple. Far from the cramped hotel style in London we are used to their room was sumptuous and massive! Our room was a very large double en-suite. Beautiful interiors with chandeliers and adorable red heavy curtains. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was hand served in the room in the morning. We certainly felt like long lost friends or relatives than guests. Forget the large hotels come here for the personal touch and home away from home feeling. Highly recommended would definitely return!! Our room was on the top floor and my son was certain it was the Penthouse!!!!

Room Tip: They are all good rooms

We stayed in three different hotels during this trip to Italy and the Acquavenice B&B was by far our favorite. We were there during a heat wave and the A/C worked perfectly! It took just a few minutes for our very large triple room to cool down. The property is absolutely spotless. Our room was decorated in a tasteful and lovely Venetian style. The beds were a dream to sleep on. Even though the inn is located on a busy street, there was no noise due to the wonderfully insulated windows. It was nice to take in all the action of the locals and tourists alike all using the street below. The location is perfect. So easy to get to from the train station. Bear left, go over a small bridge then look for 1371 on your left. It's about a seven minute walk. Maria Aurora and Maria Teresa are two lovely sisters that run the inn. They treated us just like family. They were wonderful hosts. They know all the shops in the area and gave us countless recommendations for shops, restaurants, etc. Breakfast is served in your room every morning so you can relax without having to rush somewhere to get it. We loved the Acqavenice and would never stay anywhere else if we ever return to Venice.

Room Tip: Sorry there is no pool.

We spent two nights at Aquavenice Bed and Breakfast in late June, early July and enjoyed a very pleasant stay in a clean, well-appointed room with a tasty continental breakfast delivered to our room at the agreed-upon time each morning. Maria was very helpful in answering questions regarding sights, transportation, and directions and the location of Aquavenice was away from the hustle and bustle of the Grand Canal yet easily accessible from the airport via the Alilaguna Orange line. Rio Tera'San Leonardo is a commercial street with restaurants and shops yet the noise from the street never disturbed our sleep. Be aware that there is a small city tax that must be paid in cash (Euros) upon check-out. I would highly recommend this property for a Venice stay.

Aquavenice is ran by two sisters that are very welcoming and made us feel at home. The location is central to many of the sights but it was difficult to find due to restrictions on signage. Overall very good value for a big spacious room where your breakfast is served each morning. Highly recommended.

My wife and I decided to come in a day early to Venice before our cruise ship departed. For our first night we stayed at this great small gem of a B&B. Very reasonable rates, immaculately clean, great continental breakfast. I would be remiss if I did not praise Theresa (I may not have her name spelled right, so forgive me.) Conveniently located not far from the train station, it is near quite a few very good restaurants.

For those of you who would stay here, know that the B&B is accessed via a downstairs door at street level that has a small metal name plate along side of it. This can be hard to find at first. But do not let this deter you. We would definitely stay here again.

By the way, the coffee served to us that morning was the best we had in all of Venice!

I echo what others have said about the very kind sisters who run this property. The Wi-Fi did not work when we first got there, but they immediately called someone in to fix it, and kept checking with us to make sure it was OK. The room was beautiful and much larger than I had expected. I also loved that it was close enough to the train station so that we did not have to tote our luggage on water taxi's or all over Venice as I saw others doing. Glad that I had read that you had to look closely for it, or you could miss it... but we found it easily, and were very happy!

Stayed for two nights and was very impressed with the service and rooms. Breakfast is served in your room and is perfect start to the day. We were made to feel very welcome. Venice is very expensive and you will need a map!
