“Get lost in there!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

Chaotic and confusing, but with an irresistible charm! There is another library even vaguely similar to this in the whole world. Directly overlooking the canal, this library is full of antiques and quirky, and cats! Must-visit for lovers of books, cats, unusual and picturesque places.

“It stinks!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

I was here a lot of times, to find some interesting books. Since about a year there is a costumer working there, who smokes a lot. Even the books start to smell like that. So at least in between it´s better and healthier to stay outside and just shoot a photo. The seller, this heavy smoker, is in fact standing next to you and puff into Your face, even when You are coughing.....

“Not Amazon!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

This has to be the most interesting bookshop I've ever been in. There seems to be room after room of books piled from floor to ceiling (apart from when they're in the numerous boats or baths that is).

A crazy place to visit even if you're not looking for any books. Check out the book staircase at the end of the shop and the view over the canal.

Add it to your trip list and enjoy!

“Interesting place to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013

Very interesting place to visit in Venice. It contains tons of books and there is even a staircase made of stacked books. You are allowed to walk on them. There are books everywhere: in a bathtub, gondola, etc. The books are mostly in Italian but it is nice to go there even if you don`t buy anything.

“So different so drop in”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

Lots of books of all sorts, mostly but not all in Italian. Check out the gondala full of books, the book stair case with a view and the unique fire exit. Head east past the cafe from Campo st Maria Formidable and it is on the left
